I used to love ska a while back. Goldfinger, Catch 22, Mad Caddies, Reel Big Fish, I love all those bands, there are a few more, but I have forgotten them. Its been a while since I have listened to any ska. I should get back into it.
I agree. Operation Ivy is great. I've been listening to the same Streetlight Manifesto CD for about 4 hours straight (with a bit of Sublime in between) and I'm still not sick of it. That's how awesome they are.
Same here!! It's such a great sequel to Catch 22's Keasy Nights!
I third that. Operation Ivy are wonderful. They're not really straight-forward ska though, so people in this thread may or may not like them...but yeah, check 'em out, they rock.
Me 4th it. Go listen. I'm listening to Streetlight Manifesto right now. Sounding great so far. I demand you all check out Australian ska bands and tell me what you think. I haven't heard all of these bands but I've heard of them from mates. 99% Fat - mp3s Area 7 Backy Skank Bagster - mp3s Blowhard Loin Groin Sounds Like Chicken - mp3s The Porkers
I went to all the links. A couple of them didn't work, but I think it's because my computer is stupid. I really absolutely love Backy Skank. Sounds Like Chicken is a bit comical, but still really really good. The other webisites wouldn't let me download stuff. Check out Westbound Train. Here and here. Listen to the song "Room To Breathe" because it is my favorite. But all the songs are great.
