god damn it...this movie is more sicker than firts and scenod one together...can't wait to watch it....
i have read only that it's just gore, gore, blood and more gore. I love the traps in the first two, those are my favorite parts, but I hate "senseless" stupid "blood movies".... i love Saw because of the mind fuck it does to you, I really hope people are just overhyping the blood and it's still got the "Saw 1" feel to it
i saw the movie last night. wasn't great as one but better than two. some of the traps were pretty brutal. like the rib cage one. the ending was so much better than saw two though. i give it a 7.5/10.
was it a mindfuck ending like Saw 1? or just an ending and is there any room for another one or does this kind of wrap them up?
the ending seems to wrap up the whole series. it wasn't really mindfuck like, but it was unexpecting and it was a really good play on what happened through the movie.
Saw it on the first showing at my cinima over here on the day it came out. It was great. better than Saw 2. There are some really amazing traps, and some great twists (though to an extenet they're more 'Why didn't i see that coming?' more than Saw 1's 'HOLY SHIT! I never saw that coming!' but that might be because you go in there expecting twists). I'd saw it's a gore movie, but a gore movie that makes you think a lot in true Saw tradition. And the ending was amazing.
What about the pig trap? @Dean: Mmmm.. hard to say. it'd ruin the overall plot of the trilogy, but i guess you could still watch the first 2 and be suprised and still really enjoy them.
*possible minor spoilers* Wow, SAW III ends the trilogy well. It's definitely on a whole different scale in terms of traps and story than the first two movies. This one seems more emotional based than anything... It was quite an interesting change in storytelling. In a way, I'm kind of sad this is the last time we'll see the SAW franchise carry this story (despite rumors already circulating). Gore factor was definitely raised and it was much smarter script-wise in terms of directing us away from certain things leaving us baffled sometimes. Either way, it's such a great movie and such a great way to wrap everything up. I'll have to actually see it again... I guess going to a late show means folks operating the equipment get lazy and the movie went out of focus a lot... Kind of ruined the experience. @Dean: See the first two movies before you see SAW III. SAW III is all about bringing it home (answering/clarifying things from the first two) and will help you understand what's going on.
Just saw it then. Truely amazing, although I did guess the twist before the end of the film. I think that the last trap was the best, saying that however, the scene with the ribcage trap was just like "fuck!" But yeah, I'd suggest seeing 1 and 2 before seeing this one. EDIT: Apparently there will be a SAW 4 and 5... http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/news/7533 http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/news/7464 EDIT 2: There's a rumour that SAW 4 may be a prequil aswell. Dunno how true that is like.
just saw it with the girlfriend and WOW, what a GREAT fucking ending. a great movie in itself and an AWESOME way to wrap up the trilogy. I am in absolute awe over this. once more people have seen it, we can talk more, but I don't want to spoil it for anyone. GREAT MOVIE! lol, I can't say it enough, I love the Saw series. POSSIBLE SPOILERS!!!!!! you can tell that they are leaving it open for more movies because there were a couple things that stood out. 1. JigSaw seeing his wife (would be great for a prequel) 2. Anyone have any ideas for what was on the tape that JigSaw covered in wax? 3. When they were going and showing all of the "behind the scenes" stuff from Saw 1 and Saw 2, they STILL haven't shown/told anything about Dr. Gordon.. hmmm anything else i'm missing that you are curious about? i may think of more later
