RUMOR: Linkin Park's New Single To Be Called "Burn It Down" April 16th Release Date?

    I *did* remember reading somewhere that Mike and Joe were working on the art for the album. If true, that could mean that for the first time in a while we're getting Mike/Joe art in an album, which is honestly something I've missed.

    Yeah and if you remember the hybrid theory EP cover's, that one Mike did and the one Joe did that creepy one, i hope the new album has that cool art stuff again

    Yeah, as awesome as Josh Vanover's art was, I really want the next album to feature Mike and Joe's art.

    But so far there hasnt been much hype to the new album none at all compared to hybrid theory, meteora, mtm and even ats, i mean Lp has to atleast give us something
    so there can be some kind of hype besides the new single being called "Burn it down"

    Mikes artwork is so fascinating! I hope that your statement holds truth. I bought the Glorious Excess book and loved the artwork so much I got two tattoos of his brilliant artwork.

    Album hype periods are what makes running this site so special. There's just nothing like the excitement that precedes a Linkin Park release and seeing fans from all over the world coming together and speculating on what "this" or "that" means, while digging through every bit of released media for some hidden information on the next album.

    ATS's message campaign played to that hype perfectly, and I'd love it if something similar to that was done this time around. Sometimes I don't envy Adam at all, and other days I wish I could experience the pride he feels when a plan comes together and something he works on gets the fans excited. It's both the coolest and the worst job to have from what I've seen :lol:.

    I try to flashback to the previous album cycle and I can't seem to remember having a period where we know NOTHING at all. All we've got right now is a pair of magazine articles and a rumoured 1st single to be released next month. I think that if the album was really close we would have something "more", I mean, LP.com's website always "shuts down" and they start teasing from there, (remember The Catalyst puzzle and MTM's countdown?) but right now there's pretty much nothing.

    I know nothing about all access but I trust Derek's instinct, if you really think it's true we gotta wait and see what the guys come up with this week. But seriously, can't wait xD

    I liken the promotional period for this album to a night of some nice Mexican food.

    Mexican food is tasty on the way in, but it's full of unexpected surprises. Right now we're digesting the Linkin Park we just ate (Kerrang, The Raid Q&A, single rumors).

    ...soon Linkin Park will make us shit ourselves. Just wait.

    The silence on all fronts (blogs,twitters,etc) has been kind of eerie for the past couple of days. No tweets, posts or anything. They are either really busy, or being intentionally quiet. As much as I am trying to avoid feeling it out of fear of being let down, I do feel like something big is coming. If Derek is right about LP making us shit our pants, then it goes without saying that LP 5 will be called "montezuma's revenge".

    I have a feeling that LP 5 will be bigger than HT, MT, M2M, and ATS combined, i think it's gonna top the charts
