A Taylor Swift feature would be probably the best LP feature ever in my opinion. Only Lauren Mayberry could top it for me. Have you ever thought that maybe, just maybe it has nothing about how popular the featured artist is but rather the fact that it's someone they WANT to work with. I guarantee you Linkin Park of all bands doesn't chose what album they want to make based on NEED but instead what they want to do.
I've been checking out some Kiiara songs and i have to say, if this rumor is true, i'm excited. Holy shit, just imagine a song like "Feels" but with mike and chester's vocals. I'm all for it!
I wish they collab with Megan James. i fucking love her voice she's fantastic. but, Lauren from Chvrches would be amazing too. This performance gives me always goosebumps
https://open.spotify.com/album/1yyXINAHWcxOsv0KrxXzZG That's her first single and it sounds nothing like her debut EP. So while we might expect the LPxKiiara track to sound somewhat like Gold or Feels, one never knows.
Yeah, she's got an incredible voice. I hope she somehow ends up on the album, but I doubt it since only Corin Roddick has been mentioned.
Somehow I feel like Kiiara (if she really is featured on the song) will sing the chorus part like Holly Brook in Mike's Where You Go song. Idk just a theory.
Sounds good to me. as long as i love THP melodic was the album trash except FM. so i'm excited to hear some catchy hooks from the next record. I would kill for a Megan/LP collab. but at least i'm very excited that they worked with Corin. maybe we get some dope beat over some cool Mike verses.
Ah, man, me too. There are so many talented female artists out there atm. I would also love to hear Lyndsey from Pvris on an LP track, but yea, Corin being involved has me excited, still.
Meh. I'll listen to anything Linkin Park puts out. They are my guys. I've lurked on this site since the glory days of LP pre-Minutes to Midnight. I don't get as hyped anymore. No not at all. Here's why: Rakim is a rapper. Linkin Park is known to have rap vocals. Kilara is a pop singer. If the lead single is "poppy-er" it's not a stretch to say it's going to be a radio friendly album.
LP have had clean melodic vocals in their songs too. What makes Kiiara's singing more "pop" specifically?
Actually, Linkin Park was always pop and they always had their "poppy" side. So I don't see a reason to complain honestly.
And if the album is Kiiara/Purity Ring/Blackbear style pop or R&B, so what? It's one genre Linkin Park has never fully explored on an album. Not everything has to be rock.
I'd be cool with it, if Mike publicly apologized for this bullshit: https://noisey.vice.com/en_us/artic...park-interview-the-hunting-party-cover-reveal
Yes! i don't have any problem with LP throwing some fat beat. some of my favorite LP songs are electronic oriented like Until it Breaks, Wretches and Kings, When They Come For Me and Skin to Bone so gimme more BASS LP
I'm not familiar with Kiiara's music but from what I've heard so far, her music sounds like something I can get behind as I enjoy the woozy, faded as fuck sounding alternate r'n'b type of shit. I'm definitely interested in seeing LP do something like that just to see what they can do with it.
She's also sings over some D&B-tempo rhythms on "Velvet" and explores some old-school pop/R&B vibes on "Say Anymore"
