Well, Mike did said that even though there were features on the album, it is still a Linkin Park produce album. I wouldn't be worried about it sounding like a Kiiara song.
I'm assuming Shinoda may not be featured on the track since he isn't listed as needing a double for the music video; or perhaps he's like Jackie Chan, and does his owns stunts.
Could be just like Shadow of the Day; just a video thing. Chester does seem to be the one doing acting in the band
Well, I'm quite surprised. Would've preferred a solo LP song for the first single but I definitely remain optimistic. After all, I didn't expect it. That means the band is gonna blow us away, right? I haven't listened to "Gold" but I'm excited LP is working with female vocalists. I'll just wait for the track and reserve judgement. Actually if LP is going for this chill, electronic, spacey R&B vibe, then I'm completely on board for it.
They've already been doing that the last 2 records. Gonna have to wait 2-3 years after this one comes out to see if they go bonkers again. Welp, see ya guys in 2020! Jk I'll be back once I hear this song but expectations are extremely low.
I've never been more nervous for a Linkin Park album, in fact I've never been nervous about a Linkin Park album release to begin with. However I'm going to hold my tongue until the single releases to indulge any further.
Like someone above said, the way this casting call has been advertised is so... fake. Maybe it's just me. But also, people really need to calm the hell down about the collaboration. Save judgment till you hear it. I didn't like Gold either but she's doing a duet with Chester on a stripped down acoustic song, I can totally see them pulling this off.
Considering how easily Chester gets injured, him having a stunt double for this video is just a good thing. We don't want to end up with a injured Chester and cancelled tour dates.
I think it's good that this news leaked before the song dropped because it'll give some fans time for it to digest, and more than likely, the song will be better than what they're expecting.
Heck or all we know, this collaboration on this song could even be like Beyonce's featured vocals on hymn for the weekend. Barely minimal.
Man I really like "Gold", not crazy about "Feels" though. Really excited to hear the song, I wanted LP to collaborate with a female artist, though I was hoping for Kai. Also, I woke up at like 1am, checked my phone for something entirely else, and since I get notifications from LPA Twitter, I read the thread title and went back to sleep thinking LP is collaborating with Ciara. And I just laid down and I was like "what in the fuck is that gonna sound like?" and fell asleep, lol.
it means she will be the first woman who has been featured in the Linkin Park's studio album, right? CMIIW
