Although I agree with those who say making a list like this and naming the list what they did is moronic, if a magazine was ever going to have a list of the top 500 most successful singles, Aerosmith should NEVER be below Eminem. The editors who didn't catch that are on something strong. And although Public Enemy practically kicked off the rap genre, I think only one song by them would've been sufficient. 3 Public Enemy songs is just a joke.
I like those songs. Though, I don't think they should of beaten out some of the other songs that they did. I agree with what you guys said. It's mainstream, who cares. Anyways, I kinda hate things like this. It's all about personal choice and what someone personally believes are the bests songs ever.
Enter Sandman is so far off Metallica's best song its not funny.
Definately. Metallica has so many other songs that are better than Enter Sandman. Enter Sandman is just one of their most mainstream songs.
What, Millie Vinnilie made the list? Jk Hey Ya was an average song at the beginning, but the radio just played it every 5 minutes and it just became the worst three and a half minutes I've ever had to go through (besides a Coheed and Cambria song)
Definately. Metallica has so many other songs that are better than Enter Sandman. Enter Sandman is just one of their most mainstream songs.
Agreed, I think it should have been Disposable Heroes or Master of Puppets.
- DJHahn Oh no! What a shame! LP have only been around for 4 years in the mainstream. I assuming that Rolling Stone was trying to do long term bands, though having Eminem there kind of messes up my theory. I don't think LP should have been there, regardless. Edit: Sorry the quote thing didn't work for me, Happy Birthday BTW DJHahn.
