Rob started drumming when he was 11. And goodbye, teenie.
PWNZ0RZ n00blet! Honestly I don't have any drummer in particular. Asking what is your favourite drum pattern would be more right than asking about the drummer.
How can that be of any basis for judgement? You aren't even judging their skill, your basing this on the reasoning that you don't like Green Day. I sure hope you don't become a music critic as your career, becuase you suck at it. Harsh? Yes. The truth? Damn straight.

Yes!!!! I would have watched!!! *cries* And Jila is right, Brian Viglione kicks ass. Out of the two listed though, Tre Cool. Rob is a good drummer, but Tre's work on American Idiot is a million times better then anything Rob has done with LP, IMO.
i downloaded it
I also used to think that Rob is the best drummer, but that was a long time ago. Way before getting into Slipknot, Lamb Of God, Sepultura... Way before So yeah, i can't choose between two mediocre drummers, even though they're both pretty good for the techical level of their bands... they're much better than the other members.
Neither of them are anything special at all, but I guess I'll go with Tre, since Green Day's older stuff was pretty good drum-wise.
I disagree. I think the drumming on American Idiot, especially Jesus of Suburbia and Homecoming, is better then the drumming on the early albums.
I'd say Rob Bourdon reason being is that Tre cool has more experience etc. but has the experience helped gotten Green Day a number 2 single like linkin park? I don't think so
'When I come around' was number 1 for about 5 weeks in the US and 'American idiot' number 1 album in the UK.
Your comparing success. This is a poll about who is more talented, not about who got who to number 1.
talent has nothing to do with how mainstream you are. hillary duff can get a top single. does that mean shes better than someone who doesnt? no.

(Yes, I am arrogantly taking credit. I am so cool.) Lyndie did spread the love for Dresden Dolls, though...so she deserves a bigger hug. Oh, and most definitely Tre Cool.
I think they're equally great. But if I were to judge between Tre's work on American Idiot and Rob's on Meteora (with an exception for Easier to Run), I'd go with Tre.
