People tend to forget this because of his recent success, but Cee-Lo cut his teeth as a legit rapper in Goodie Mob. He's perfectly capable of doing a good tribute. But Fight for Your Right is a terrible choice.
I love how the "tribute" for Adam Yauch is the one song that the Beastie Boys hated the most. Nice going, idiots.
Cee Lo Green can go fuck himself. I lost all respect for him after he changed the lyrics in his shitty cover version of Imagine from "And no religion too" to "And all religion's true". Way to change the entire fucking meaning of the song you asshole. John Lennon would be rolling in his grave. Wouldn't surprise me if he changes it from "You gotta fight for your right to party" to "You don't have the right to party". Dear Cee Lo. Take some advice from your song: Fuck you.
I think during the Cee Lo Green tribute...LP will take his mic and say "sorry imma not let you finish..." and play Sabotage!!! and THAT will be a Billboard Moment!!!
Somebody's pissed off...... Honestly I think Cee Lo is talented singer and don't really mind. Would be nice to see LP do sabatoge though.
LP doing Sabotage would be insane, but I think we can just take this as another sign of how Billboard is bullshit.
That's funny, because the Beastie Boys would actually change the lyrics to some of their older songs when performing live to make them sound less like assholes.
