See thing is, you can't call it better than Hybrid Theory, cos Hybrid Theory was the foundation for Reanimation. You have to give Hybrid Theory a lot of the credit there.

A Fourth Studio album > Reanimation part 2.

    @ HARLZ

Why can't one call Reanimation better than Hybrid Theory? It's a comparison between results.

I don't think a remix album of Meteora will ever come out.

On that note, I would like to assert my firm belief that every album that LP has released EVER is better than Meteora.

Why not? So if I like say, the remix to a song, does that automatically make me like the original better? Hell no. In fact, take the Gorillaz song 19/2000. I absolutely didn't care for the original version, but the remix on G-Sides is perfection. Can I call the remix better since it's in fact, a remix? Does this make the original better since I like the remix? No. It doesn't.

I don't like Reanimation because of the fact that it's a remix album. I like Reanimation because it's just a badass album. Period. So Hybrid Theory doesn't get credit in this case.

Yea I get where you're coming from.
Just personally I can't look at Reanimation and give it all the respect I have for HT, simply 'cos I feel like originality is very important.

Wow, I'm posting in the LP section again.

Reanimation is the most underrated and by far the most interesting and diverse album LP has put out to date.

It exemplifies all of their influences, rock, hiphop, and electronic. It doesn't sty rooted in just OHMYGOD HIPHOP or OHMYGOD ALT ROCK. It washes over all of the styles they love and incorporate into their performances and gives out a great balance of each genre.

Most people aren't into strange new things though. They want the hook within the first 30 seconds of the song, and want something to scream out at shows. That's great and all, but every now and then I like it switched up, and Reanimation is the first cd I will listen to when I feel like listening to LP.

edit- ah shit i necroposted a necropost. my bad.

Yes, but it means that it could also be argued that it isn't necessarily a Linkin Park album.

the album's result is myriad of many artists, not just linkin park. but it's a linkin park album, all the same. it belongs to linkin park. they also collaborated with the producers and every member contributed a lot to the album.

i wouldnt say its the best. but i didnt know that you could remix songs like that and it would still be amazing! i personally think Meteora is the best record...it shows what they really are.

I have to disagree with you there. Again, this is my opinion, so don't jump down my throat for it, but I think Meteora shows the least of who they are. I feel they made Meteora as a Hybrid Theory Pt.2, just to please the fans and the label. If there were one record to show who they really are, it would be Minutes To Midnight. The whole album is them doing what they want to do with the music, having fun and making what they want. It's like how Mike said ''The direction was to throwout the rulebook and just make music''. Or ''If you're expecting a Hybrid Theory Pt.3, then listen to Hybrid Theory in your CD player because we're not doing that anymore''. Just my opinion. I think they trapped during Meteora.

you do have a point. i dont know theres something about meteora that makes me really get into the music. but i guess you are right, about Meteora being hybrid theory pt.2, because it is the same rap/rock vibe to it. i do like alot of the songs on hybrid theory...but i just feel like meteora has more up-beats to it. thats my opinion. i do love all the albums. metoera just happens to be my favorite.

I think if Meteora would have came out sooner it wouldn't have been as bad for most of us, we just waited so long for a record that should have probably came out a year and a half later if that.
