Ugh.

Biology is such a hassle.

 

My web design class instructor is so fucking stupid. She can't explain anything worth a damn. Then, for our coding assignments, we have to post the source code out on our web site for anyone to see. We post this whenever we're done with it and its out there for anyone to see and plagiarize. So back in early November, we're given a PHP assignment, and are given a month to do it (it's a super easy assignment, a baby gorilla could do it. Hell, George W. Bush could possibly pull it off, yet she thinks it will take us a month). So I do it right away to get it out of the way because I have more important things to worry about than some worthless 10 line PHP script that I've known how to write for more than 5 years. So for the last month, I've just had my source code sitting out there waiting until today, due date, to be graded.

Well, guess what happened? Someone did copy it. Changed a couple things around, and called it there own. So needless to say, I was shocked when I got an e-mail addressed to both me and the guy who copied stating that we lost 5 points for cheating. 2 things wrong here... 1: 5 points for cheating? Most teachers give you no credit at all. It's a 50 point assignment, this guy can still get an A assuming my code works. 2: My teacher knows I already know this shit. About 2 slides into her PowerPoint lecture on PHP, I got up and walked out. As I walked past her towards the door, she said "So, are you an expert on PHP?" I said, "Yes", walked out and had a nice lunch with some friends. Plus, I have an A on every test, every assignment. If there is one subject area in this world that I will never, ever cheat on, it's PHP. Hell, you guys have seen some of the stuff I've done on the LPA that involves PHP coding, you know that I'm pretty damn good at it

I'm not even pissed that the guy stole my code. If thats how he wants to get through school, then fine, I'm not paying his tuition. Hell, it makes me feel good that my shit is good enough to cheat off of. I'm sorta pissed off that since I'm almost positive that my code still meets all the criteria, he'll get an A for it. But I'm really pissed off, more like insulted, that my instructor and the class grader, who know that I know this crap, and have seen my previous assignments and tests, even assumed for a second that I cheated.

The guy who used my code said he talked to the instructor and that I won't be losing any points, so I'm happy. Still slightly pissed off at the instructor, but I hated her to begin with
