It's not bad though, at least from my perspective. It's no different than say, ripping a friend's CD. Illegal? Sure. But it's nothing that is ever enforced, because it's silly.
Okay. Personally, I don't see much of a difference between doing this and pirating, hence my question. To me it seems like the same thing, except one is way more convenient.
