I was six. At 10, I became a full-blown fan (I guess because I was actually old enough to be a fan of anything).
I was 3 when they first came out with HT, but I never really got into them until I was 13 when ATS came out.
I was 10 when HT came out, and I remember mixing up Chester and Shifty Shellshock from Crazy Town at the beginning, I thought OSC and Butterfly were from the same band. Embarrassing. Lol.
I wanted to be a writer ever since I was a kid, Tony. I am in college studying Computer science engineering for whatever reason. Because computers are easier to handle than people I guess.
Follow your deepest ambitions, Suj. You could still study journalism and writing. Still midway through college, right? I made the mistake of following my parents' plan for me and regret it every day. I'm almost 30 and wish I could take all that time back.
As a huge horror fan, Resident Evil 7 is some of the most fun I've had with a game in years, it's fantastic. I wish it wasn't so short, it's about 10 hours for a $60 game, which I guess is pretty standard these days. Capcom loves to cut out content and sell it as DLC, they already released DLC for it. 1st person horror is really something else, I couldn't imagine how crazy it would be to play this in VR. Now I'm going back and playing all the other Resident Evil games, forgot how much I love these kinds of games.
Well, computer science was my idea, I was kinda geeky as a kid (not so much now). Besides, when I mean writing I mean story-telling. I have no interest in things like writing articles or journalism. Hell, honestly I like visual mediums of stories like comics or games better. I want to do both programming and writing at my own pace for now, haha. Also, don't be so down, you're only that old! My dad just retired and he's seriously taking up courses to find a new means of employment at his age (late fifties). Whatever you do, I'm sure your efforts won't go to waste, man. And I'll always be cheering you on
Totally dude. Although I'm a sucker for the series regulars (Chris, Leon, Jill, Ada, etc) and their turn into blockbuster-like territory, the fact that they still added something new yet something so world-building makes the game great. The fact that you're an inexperienced guy facing off a legion of monsters with barely any ammo really brings it back to the first game. And the fact that it references other games really adds to the world-building.
What I liked was that the story wasn't really crammed in your face with cutscenes, but through interactive tapes and reading files that allow you to piece things together for yourself. It was a really unique experience. You feel like you are a part of the story instead of just seeing through a character's perspective. I can't wait for the story DLCs, with hopefully more enemy variety. I hope Capcom still gives the option for 1st person in Resident Evil 8 even if they go back to 3rd person. For REmake 2, I don't want them to go 1st person as that was not how the original was, but for future titles I want it.
