Picked up my copy of Awesome Mix Vol. 1 at Walmart! I was really hoping they would have the Deluxe Edition that comes with Tyler Bates' Score, but oh well. Will get that later. Nonethless, the Awesome Mix is awesome! So many classics on one disc.

Obviously you're joking, but to clarify, we don't have ninth grade here, or anything further. We have elementary school – 8 grades, after which comes high school with 4 or 3 grades, depending on what kind of high school it is. So I finished the first year of high school and next month I'll be in 2nd grade.

The first grade of high school is technically the ninth grade a person attends, but we refer to it as the first grade of high school. Same with the latter grades.

 

lol Other countries school systems never make sense to me. All though yours isn't nearly as confusing as Holland's. My Dutch friend explains to me all the time and I still don't understand.

Tuesday starts my first Festival Experience Wednesday first bands will perform and on Sunday Rise AGainst as a Headliner

Our school system:

3 years of pre-school
6 years of elementary school (1-6th grade)
3 years of middle school (7-8-9th grade)
2 years of "high" in which you can choose to get your diploma on either sciences or "humanities" (social stuff) (formally known as 1º and 2º years, coloquially known as 4º and 5º year as a follow up to the previous 3)

I should also note that Venezuela holds a legally established school dressing code for both public and private schools. Institution has the right to choose whether they want to use polos or regular shirts.

Red/yellow for preschool
White for elementary
Sky-blue for middle
Beige for high.

PLUS-- A sports outfit of t-shirt and sweatpants to use one day of the week for PE. (Color choices are flexible here and depend of school)

All matched with navy blue pants/skirts.

^Geez, that dress code is kind of intense. I went to middle school at a place where we had to wear uni's. Fucking hated it.

 

Tbf everyone here's used to it. Even kids/teens get all excited when they have to change shirt colors. I haven't met anyone who's expressed publicly they hated to wear the school uniform. However, as a passionate "skirt hater" I'm glad that in my school girls wore pants as well.

Too bad I don't have many pics of myself to show. I didn't like having pictures taken back then (in general)
