Yesterday a German tourist was shot and killed within just 8 hours of setting foot in Venezuela. Shooting set off in Eurobuilding Hotel lobby where there was a Medical Conference/Congress. I feel so embarrassed and helpless.

This is the reason why I don't want LP anywhere near us.

My older brother is stuck on the fact that Meteora and Hybrid Theory are the only good Linkin Park albums (and he also thinks that A Thousand Suns is complete crap).

 

I held that opinion for a while, but once you accept LINKIN PARK isn't one thing, it's easier to love ATS for being quite good on the composition front. Of course, with ATS, you lose all validity on attacking Skrillex while defending LP (the band could easily just press "play" for the parts of "Robot Boy" they don't have enough people for, but that's "fake" to them, or something). Skrillex "composes" on the computer no different than from what Mike does - Mike would just rather have his friends and himself perform them.

People seem to forget that Hybrid Theory is what put the band on the map so it's appalling to bash Meteora for wanting to keep the formula. MTM on has been, in a very rough sense of the concept, like what Apple does with phones or A&F does with clothes - they slap on the name and sell whatever they want for however much. It's gotten to a point where the next studio album could be like LPU8 if that's what they feel like doing.

 

That's the majority opinion outside of the dedicated LP fan bases like the LPA sadly.
