Why do I feel like the members of a certain fanclub are all participating in a pissing contest every single day? Not everything is supposed to be a competition.

 

"I was only going 16 miles over the speed limit". I'm sure the kid you would've creamed with your car going that extra 16 miles an hour in the RESIDENTIAL neighborhood, would think 16 MPH is no big deal too. Ever hear of the "35 they're dead, 25 they're alive campaign"? There's a reason why residential neighborhoods have such slow speed limits..you go anything 35 or over and hit a little kid and it's pretty much guaranteed that child isn't going to make it out alive. It's not about the system dude, it's about being a responsible driver. I'm sorry, but I applaud the cops in this case. People speed on my road by my house ALL the time and have almost hit me, and the neighborhood children on numerous occasions. There's no reason to drive faster than 25MPH in a residential area. Is getting there that much quicker worth killing someone? Come on now.

 

You serious? I got 16 over once, but it was on an empty highway on a Saturday morning when no other cars were around, not a fucking residential neighborhood. And even I knew I screwed up, knew I was an idiot, and paid the fine without complaining. I chose to speed, I got caught, I owned up to my mistake rather than bitching about the speed trap that was set up.

You were doing 16 MPH over the speed limit in a residential area. Kids are out riding their bikes in residential areas, people are outside walking their dogs. You could have fucking killed someone. At least when I did it, the only person I really put in danger was myself because no pedestrian is walking across a 5 lane interstate. Man up to your mistakes instead of blaming everyone else.

Just be lucky the cops didn't find your stash of drugs or else a $165 fine would be the least of your worries.
