Anything's possible but I think after this attack, many people won't look too kindly at her.

We've got a female Prime Minister, Julia Gilliard.

Who only got position because she boycotted parliament and took Kevin Rudd's job, but I don't think that's possible to 'boycott' the US President when our parliament system is different to yours. IF Kristina Keneally the American premier of New South Wales ever becomes Prime Minister I'm leaving this country.

Actually, that term is too generous a label for Sarah Palin..

 

Because [insert constant political rantings here that I don't think you understand being a non-Australian].

 

Not only is she an American coming into Australian politics (it's been unheard of until recently so we are all coming to terms with the equality factor here) but we haven't heard of her until Nathan Rees was sacked as premier of NSW. She wasn't voted in by the people, she was voted in by the parliament in which where the hell is democracy in all of that? (I am saying the same about Julia Gilliard, we voted her in as DEPUTY Prime Minister like we voted Quentin Bryce in as Head of State) She's caused nurses to go on strike by not increasing their wages, she's not trying to attract new nurses and doctors to NSW to fill our shortage, and she's not really helping out Queensland by withholding State Emergency Services back in New South Wales when only 3% of NSW right now has been flooded and those parts that have been flooded aren't nothing compared to the Queensland floods and the relief effort they need. She's sent out like 7% of the SES of NSW's to QLD and hasn't sent any SES to South Australia and Victoria where its now flooded. The nurses crisis was happening way before the floods and it's a promise I cannot see fulfilled by this government. Ree's government's problem was public transport and the lack of in major cities, Keneally's is the hospital's. Keneally has made so many promises I cannot see her fulfilling.

If she cannot handle state level of government, I am not voting her in to be prime minister.

Yet another fuck up of a Labour government.

 

There's something about Labour governments being massive letdowns.

 

That's why I'm voting an independent electorate next time. I only voted labour this time because Tony Abbott annoyed me with his budgie smugglers.

But our Labour Party is nearly in shambles at the moment as well. Either they get their act together or I'll just go for a third party next time.

2010 left me pretty cold on politics, basically. And now David Miliband is the vice-president of a mid-table football team. Shame really, it's kind of a waste of talent. I still think he would have been a relatively pretty decent prime minister.

And for the first few months at least, I think Brown was relatively popular.
