Random Thoughts 23!

I am so happy with Nintendo this year. Donkey Kong returns in good ol' DKC fashion. Can't wait. They completely blew Microsoft out of the water in the core department this year. Microsoft! That is sad. Oh man, I hope Sony can follow up with something just as great. Here's to more The Last Guardian info! I will forgive them for whoring out the Move if they just give me more The Last Guardian info! *crosses fingers*

Aside from Twisted Metal, which everyone already knew about, and Portal 2, Sony didn't have many surprises at their conference.

 

Move was really well presented, though. Considering the disaster that was Miyamoto's presentation of the new Zelda game, Move came off really impressive. I've been on a media blackout so Twisted Metal was a huge announcement for me, and seeing GABE NEWELL of all people coming out to present Portal 2 was just... damn. No Last Guardian, but I hope we get some new info anyway... It's been a year since we've heard anything and I have faith in Team Ico but I just want to see something new.

Overall, I think both Sony and Nintendo did really well this year and covered their bases evenly. Microsoft on the other hand really did a piss-poor job by comparison. I keep hating on them but... damn it they deserve it.

I may have been seeing things but I swear I saw an exploding granny during the Twisted Metal presentation...

 

yes they [microsoft] do deserve being hated on, since they fucked me over on the Modernwarfare 2 bundle for the 360. i actually exchanged that shit for a PS3 which i LOVE
