No, I agree with you saying that people have been going overboard with the OMFG THIS IS TEH BEST EVAR sort of thing. I wholeheartedly agree in fact. It was, I daresay, a bit mediocre at times. Maybe that's because Batman movies aren't my sort of thing..

But, I do have to say that Heath was nothing short of fantastic (no not because he's dead), but it's just...fascinating. I know that's an odd word to use, but hey.

I don't know - I think I mainly find the method acting system just incredible. Especially for a role of that kind :/

 

I'm not knocking Christian Bale but no one compares to Clint Eastwood.

I just watched Son Of Rambow, that was great.

 

It's just when people are saying stuff like:

It's pretty much exactly the same with anything that gets superexposure. Like the early series' of LOST (a bad example maybe), Indiana Jones IV etc...

It does my nut right in.

 

Essentially, arent you rating it worse because everyone rated it better? You had everyone hype it up for you and went in thinking it would be the best thing ever, but because of that, it was much easier to be let down. Obviously everything is opinion and Im not trying to argue that but things like this get interesting because subconciously, without knowing it, you could have gone into the film expecting it to be worse than what it was getting rated based on the sheer fact that you know nothing is perfect. Im probably reading too much into it but Im bored.

 

Yeah, super exposure can kill things, I was going to get into both LOST and Heroes but now refuse as everyone says they are awesome and I get the 6th sense of being let down.

Maybe because were British and we moan a lot about everything?

And yeah, I do love a bloody good moan! I got into a fight with some poor bassa from France Telecom actually earlier. Their fault for cutting off the fohorking phone line in the first place.
