If you go to a place like American Eagle Outfitters you're usually paying an extra $20 for the brand name on the shirt. You can buy a collared shirt at AE for $30 and turn around and buy one that looks strikingly similar at a place like Wal Mart for $7. It's insane.

 

Yeah I hate brands. I don't have one piece of clothing with a brand on it. I refuse to pay for brands, it's ridiculous.

 

I don't buy brands just to buy brands. I buy them because generally they have really cool designs. My favorite shirt is a shirt my last girlfriend bought for me for my birthday and it was a $27 Billabong T-shirt. I'd have yelled at her it if weren't for the fact that it's got a sweet design.

And half the band shirts I've got have cool designs too. But I refuse to pay more than $12-14 for a shirt with barely anything on it. That's just insane.

 

You know what I never understood? How lots of people buy fake brands. I mean, if you don't have the money to buy the real thing, don't buy a fake one. It boggles me mind.

Yeah I find the labels on shirts obnoxious. Like all the girls at my school are wearing shirts with HOLLISTER plastered across the whole front. It's like, 1) you paid $20+ for that shirt, and it's stupid and 2) are you really that insecure that you feel you need a label that huge to feel 'cool'?

I have one shirt from Hollister, that I got for my birthday, but it's a really pretty and comfy shirt that doesn't have font on it, just the tiny little eagle or whatever it is in the top left corner.

 

I've got an acquaintance (he used to be a decent friend) who'd only buy name brand clothing. He found out one day one of the brands he was buying was actually fake (I don't remember what it was called) and he ended up becoming a nervous wreck for wasting all his money.

Not that he wouldn't have been wasting it anyway.

 

Played Rock Band for the first time at the FNAC. It's really fun but playing the drums is so confusing
