    No, no, no. I mean, we'll take Fall Out Boy as an example. Their first two or three records (up to From Under the Cork Tree) all sounded pretty similar, albeit they were moving toward a more mainstream sound. Then all of a sudden you have Infinity on High, which was like an R&B record with guitars, and they claimed they'd always been about experimentation, when that experimentation was evident on a grand total of zero of their songs before Infinity on High. :lol:

    Yeah, that makes no sense that they're saying that. Maybe they experimented with things totally unrelated to music...

    No, I totally get what you're saying, man.

    I'll make sure to be more careful in the future. :thumbsup:

    I don't know. Little things like that bug me. But then I also hate it when a favorite band of mine takes on a completely different sound and alienates half their fans. Kind of like what Avenged Sevenfold and Atreyu did. And Trivium.

    On a side note: Jessica Alba.

    Avenged Sevenfold's albums sound nothing like each other. Sounding the Seventh Trumpet sounds completely different than Waking the Fallen, Waking the Fallen sounds completely different than City of Evil and City of Evil sounds completely different than their ST. So I don't know how they weren't experimenting all along.

    Personally I think Sounding the Seventh Trumpet and Waking the Fallen sound more alike than the both of them compared to City of Evil and Avenged Sevenfold. At least they still had their metalcore style present on their first two records and the change wasn't as incredibly drastic between the records.

    It wasn't as drastic but STST was definitely heavier than Waking the Fallen. It's kind of like they started out at the top in terms of heaviness and with every album, they're taking it down a notch. At least that's the way I see it. I agree with Fall Out Boy though and fully expect their album to be like the new Panic at the Disco CD :lol:

    M2M doesn't sound like hybrid theory or Meteora and I don't have a problem with it. I love it actually. But I can see why a person would pick on fall out boy, I hate them regardless. :lol:

    @Sylar
    I suppose you're right about Avenged Sevenfold. I kind of wish they were changing for the better instead of for the worse. They're following the same path as Atreyu. I don't know why you'd change your sound from something so awesome to something so mediocre and overdone. I agree with what you said about Fall Out Boy, though. I mean, from what they've been saying about their next record, it's going to be even more radio-oriented than Infinity on High, and it's probably going to sound like they were high the whole time. :lol:

    @ImInYourDreams
    The difference with that is that Linkin Park sort of needed to change. And they've never really been too conventional with their music. So I don't really count them as being in the "changing and then lying about it" category.

    Yeah, that makes sense to me. I hate it when that happens too, but in some cases, it's forgivable.

    On a side note: Katharine McPhee.

    I remember getting into a conversation with somebody over the difference between a woman just having good looks, and women you want to ravage. :lol:

    It was. Kind of weak, though. My burps are always wimpy. :(
