You've never seen? Fucking incredible movie!

 

I never wanted to see it.

I've been more lax in what I watch lately, though.

 

And I see you enjoyed it. Good. It is epic.

 

I told my friend some of the movie might be lost on me since I never saw Dawn of the Dead, and he told me I didn't have to see it to enjoy Shaun of the Dead. And he was right. It was hilarious.

I never wanted to see it before because I thought it was going to be an extremely cheesy, ridiculously stupid parody movie, a la Epic Movie and the like.

 

It's brilliant.

Have you seen Hot Fuzz? It's starring the same two actors. Even better IMO.

 

No. Isn't it a police film parody? I can't stand to watch shit like that. I hate it so much.

I can't stand watching shit like Reno 911. Some of the worst television ever.

 

Too Cool Queenie by STP has gotta be like, the only song 'that's like, totes about kurt cobain and courtney luv!' that actually is about Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love.

 

I'm pretty sure every goose in the world just flew over my apartment building.

That was the loudest sound ever.

 

It's a police parody in the same way Shaun is a zombie parody. So really it's more a homage than anything, plus it's based at least as much on British police films and television like The Sweeney and The Bill, although I doubt you've ever seen anything like that.

It's absolutely nothing like Reno 911 though.

 

So even more of the humor would be lost on me? Damn it!

I'll probably see it eventually. My friend owns it so I'll borrow it now that I know Shaun of the Dead wasn't as stupid as I thought it was going to be.

Plus that chick is hot. Or at least she was hot in the movie. Both of them for that matter.

 

If you liked Shaun of the Dead i'd say you're pretty much nailed on to like this IMO.

It's not so much of a parody as it is just a humorous story based around a police officer. It's not like you sit there and think "Oh funny, that's a take off of that police movie". All original.

 

No, no, that's not what I meant. For instance, Reno 911 has a bunch of inept cops running around and they don't know what the hell they're doing. That's just stupid and only idiots should ever find that funny.

 

I love that song.

Nothing like this.

The protagonist is actually a fucking amazing police officer. No cliche fat donut eating cop jokes in the entire movie as I recall.

 

That's good.

Like I said, I'll probably watch it, since my friend owns it.
