    Converge is one of those bands that I just didn't get for a long time. Then
    about two-years ago (like an epiphany) it hit me how much they fucking rule.
    They're not for everybody, though.

    Same scenario goes for Zao. Both of them are genius, imo.

    I liked Zao as soon as I first heard them. As for Converge, I dunno, maybe what happened with you will happen with me at some point. They're obviously not bad by any means.

    I think the hardest hurdle for people to get over with those bands is the
    vocals. I wasn't onto the whole black metal-ish vocals from Zao at first, but
    then again when I first heard them I was only into more melodic bands like
    Killswitch Engage. Converge just sounded like a bunch of noise to me, but then for some reason, I just really started to dig them. Can't really explain it.
