I don't know. I think it might affect the way people take them [seriously or not], but numbers don't make that much of a difference. Different folks, I guess.

@Mark: It doesn't really bother me. Usernames might be taken so people add numbers on the end. I do that at forums somtimes. But I tend to stay away from the people who have like '2234211' at the end of their names or something

@Mark: I think that unconsiously I take people with numbers or people with a bandname/bandmember in their name not seriously.

@Mark: I couldn't care less if they have a number or not. Sometimes people just put whatever name they can first think of because they don't really care. I think that putting numbers in your nick or weird names is part of your creativity. But putting band names (just like Marj said) is kinda lame.
