and gerard ripped off the putting his mic in his mouth trick from spencer of murder city.

i dunno, and there attitudes too match the devils a lot, or there old attitudes when they were cool people. maybe it's just me though.

yeah but bands like the murder city devils deserve more credit then they got. they were one of the only straight up rock and roll bands of the late 90's when everyone was trying to either be nu-metal or punx.
