That my friend,is called "System" vocals by Chester Bennington himself, the rest is by somebody from Korn. It's one of the soundtracks featured in "Queen of The Damned"
^ This. Anyone who keeps demanding that Linkin Park make more music that sounds like it belongs in 2003 and remain stuck in some time warp ... should just listen to whoever made that song. Simple.
Wow, I just realized that one LP opinion even nu-metal fanboys have is that Brad sucks as a guitarist. It's the only opinion everyone from the fanbase seem to share
I wouldn't say he sucks. He has talent. He's just functional for a band like Linkin Park and to some people that isn't enough.
Agree. But he's not great. I think he never really got in on soloing. I think Astat said once that Brad was playing like he didn't know scales or something? Something involving Brad not knowing scales.
Well, Linkin Park isnt there they they are, because of the great guitar playing, all but this But on the new live performances, especially on WID Brad try to improve something and i really enjoyed it. He isnt for sure the best guitarist. But he is far from the worst in my opinion. I really like how he did this "rocknrolly soli". But yeah, he isnt the bad. But what do you want, especially the Nu-Metal Fans There are power-chords, nothing you could improve really. (is this the right way to call it ??? ) His guitar playing is more part of the harmony (until THP) than an own standing part of a song in my opinion.
So Brad is trying to improve his guitar game, just like Rob stepped up on drums. Alright Phoenix, let's see some slapping and double thumping on the next album.
We're asking this of the same man who refuses to play Easier to Run because he doesn't like the bass to it...and that shit is easy af.
My dream setlist: Easier to Run Easier to Run Hit the Floor Hit the Floor Hit the Floor Hit the Floor Valentine's Day ENCORE: In Between
I know I've seen it somewhere before. And Chester has said he loves Easier to Run. Couldn't link you though.
You're probably referring to his soloing in KTTK, which gets kind of random in the final chorus. But I agree with Michele, the genre doesn't demand complex guitar. It's one thing to talk about how fast someone can move their fingers on a fret board, it's another thing to talk about being able to write guitar to everything from All for Nothing to the Three Band Terror demo to TLTGYA.
