Where did "State of the Art" come from? It wasn't released on an LPU album or anything like that (from what I know).

I'm pretty sure a fan asked DJ Lethal for it and he just decided to release it online.

I find it funny how Chester fronts one of the hugest rock bands of the past 20 years (Stone Temple Pilots), yet no one cares what's going on with them. Yeah, we are a Linkin Park fan site, we don't have to care about them, but I don't see STPWCB being mentioned anywhere. Not that I'm complaining - I love STP, but found 'High Rise' to be fairly disappointing.

They're basically on somewhat of an unofficial hiatus with Chester busy with Linkin Park. There's not much to talk about currently. The band can't really be interviewed since there isn't anything coming out in the future and there is no way for them to know when Chester will be 100% available and away from his main band.

On the note of STP, I feel like they lost it after putting out their 2010 self-titled album. The people who blame Weiland's departure for the poor quality of High Rise forget about Stone Temple Pilots. :X

Also, High Rise isn't terrible but can't compare to their previous albums. At all.

The only good song on High Rise is Same on the Inside, which is bloody fantastic!

Black Heart is also pretty decent, even if it is a bit generic.

I never listened to STP, but I did like High Rise, and Same on the Inside is fantastic. I also like Black Heart a lot for its groove.

Yep, SOTI is fantastic. The rest are okay, some decent moments but overall just nothing sticks. The songs aren't memorable or worthy of being called STP.

Black Heart is a fun song. It does have a nice groove. STP has some really great albums. I'd really recommend listening to an album or two. Core/Purple/No 4 are all fine choices if you ever want to. ;)

STP are awesome - I love a lot of their stuff. Core is a fucking classic. I can't force myself to like High Rise only because of Chester, though. I'm not saying it's bad - it's just weaker than the rest of their records. I even liked their last album more than High Rise. I kinda dig Out of Time, though. It might be a bit generic, but I like its power.

The two seconds of silence after every track in A Thousand Suns bothers me so much. The song was meant to flow together, and the space between each song ruins the flow.

Uh, it depends on your rip and the device you're listening on.

I just saw Guilty All The Same video (the video game one) on TV...it was cool to hear LP rocking out, but that "video" is just lame. It would be cool if they had studio performance as a video instead.

You're probably the first person to say this. The album is definitely NOT like that, lol.

I'd like to see the band deliver a live video like "Given Up" for one of the heavier singles from this new album

Yea...you probably need to adjust whatever device you are on as others have stated. A Thousand Suns flows really nicely actually. If its an ipod/iphone it is very easy to set it so that there is no delay between tracks.
