Does anyone have an idea why the lptvs are so short? 90% of the making of FM video was Mark Pellington saying fuck and people walking in the fog. What's the point in these videos?

Random LP thought for the day - I think Rakim's verse in GATS is one of the most under-appreciated things in any LP song ever amongst the fans.

When you have the lyrics in front of you, and you truly understand his anger towards record labels......the wordplay, flow and delivery is on point - and as a fan of a wide range of rap, it really is one of the best verses I've heard in recent times in my opinion

I seriously hope Mike comes back to score The Raid 3.

Not the U.S. remake, the actual third Raid.

Why does Warner Brother take down cover videos on youtube while they let millions of videos of the songs
itself be uploaded on youtube by fans? :obama:

Technically, all cover videos are considered violation of copyright, unless you ask permission already. Sad truth.

I really miss the ATS period, y'all. That was the best era in terms of songs, LPTVs, interviews...everything.

Those lyrics aren't even ABOUT anything
    /s

I actually thought that the documentary footage was lacking, but, still, it's the best we've ever gotten. The "Living Things" behind-the-scenes footage was just as good

These lyrics aren't as bad as some might think. Skin To Bone for me seems to be telling a story of a decline or decay of some sort, whether in a relationship or in another context (hence the lines "ash to ashes, dust to dust..." ).

The phrase "When your name is finally drawn, I'll be happy that you're gone" to me seems to say that when you find out someone's true colours, you'll be happy you chose not to carry on being with them, your previous perception of them has faded.

If you were to stay a significant part of their lives they could influence you negatively (e.g. hurt you, people you care about or take advantage of you etc).

That's one interpretation anyway, lyrics in some songs can be very conceptual and appear not be about anything on the surface, but if you try putting ambiguous lyrics like these into some context they could be about, well...anything in that context.

I politely disagree. Minutes To Midnight seems like the best overall era to me. Live shows, documentary, LPTVs, Project Rev, the whole sha-bang.

Yeah, Meeting of a thousand suns was stressful to watch. Making of minutes to midnight was so much fun to watch. Not sure if that has anything to do with this discussion though. Maybe, for THP Mark Fiore got tired or something.

I just wanna ask; Did Rob use double kick for the live performance of 'Reading My Eyes' back then?(the one that included in LPU 6)

This is actually pretty true. Projekt Revolution 2007 coverage was on point.

But I thought that the "Minutes To Midnight" documentary was lacking.

Compared to their earlier (horrible) performances of this song, I'm surprised they actually did it well in more recent shows.

This has to be one of the best remixes for "The Catalyst" I've heard, and I haven't come across that many good ones either.
