Hey, Shinoda's running Live as part of his new tour setup! [THUMB]http://photos-d.ak.instagram.com/hphotos-ak-xfa1/10549624_786450914718651_646760272_n.jpg[/THUMB] "Getting the keyboards / samplers ready for #CarnivoresTour. We're adding two more songs from The Hunting Party..."
We're adding two more songs from The Hunting Party... LMAO this band is becoming a walking contradiction.
I didn't think that they'd add any more than the three they were already playing, so I was a little off there. Anyway, I've never seen Shinoda use the drum triggers that he added to the rig a while back
I miss the band making Viddys and Vine videos. It's like half their partnerships went out the window. I'm curious if they're willing to make another Chideo video.
With the exception of "Keys To The Kingdom" and maybe "A Line In The Sand" too, I don't hear any songs on "The Hunting Party" that I think would be especially disappointing live. That said, I feel certain that, by the time this whole touring cycle is over, they'll have only played less than half of the songs live.
One of the songs is probably FM which is awesome. But I thought they would do more of THP since it is called the Carnivores tour. I thought it would be more interesting. Maybe it is, maybe they have something in store.
I just watched a living things interview where Mike is talking about the scavenger hunt. He talked about how you guys nominated Joe to go get the pendrive and how he chose to use LPA's name to leak it and not his. Just amazing. I'm proud I joined this site. Even if it does get a little bitchy here, this is an awesome community. Smart and very decent. Just wanted to let you all know how much fun you all are.
Again, I think that some people - and I'm guilty of this too, sometimes - want to make sure that they're being critical to some extent, partly because they're wary of coming off too ... fanboy- or fangirl-ish, I guess Sometimes, it does go too far, but that's usually a matter of your point of view as well. You might see something as "bitchy"; the person who wrote it might feel that it's fair. In any case, the fact that we welcome criticism and debate is one of my favourite things about LPA, and it's true of other LP fan communities too. People who aren't community members might think that we're some hivemind that agrees on everything when, sometimes, that couldn't be further from true.
On that note as well, one of the other cool things about this community is that it includes people who aren't even fans anymore, and some who were never really fans to begin with, who stick around for the people who they like chatting with.
I have an idea for a survey that I don't know how to go about creating: It would have every song by Linkin Park available to rate out of 10 and after enough people take the survey, it would tally up the rankings of songs from highest to lowest, showing us an accurate representation of what the LPA (and any others) rank songs most frequently. If anyone has an easy way to make this, go for it or let me know!
I'd love to hear LP write a song like I'm Afraid of Americans. I mean lyrically, although I wouldn't mind something similar sounding at all. It'd be a nice little step out of the comfort zone in which it's all about lies, promises, fires and suns.
