Best way to go really. Spoils the album a bit when you've listened already and you know what to expect when you actually get it.
For me it doesn't matter when I'll listen to it. I'll listen to the album as soon as possible. I only care about listening to it in full but it really doesn't matter when it will happen.
Random trivia: Last November, The Rising Tied was finally certified Gold by the RIAA signifying around 500k+ records sold. Took them long enough.
I hope to listen to it as soon as it comes out but itunes isn't available here so I'll have to buy a physical copy.
So I've followed this band religiously for longer than I care to remember, and only today have I found out that Brad's full name is Bradford. You learn something new every day
Out of curiosity what parts of "Blackout" does Brad play live before the breakdown? I know Mike does the keyboard/piano parts and some samples during the breakdown, Joe does the Chester samples and the main sample, Chester does the drums during and after the breakdown and Rob & Phoenix do their thing. Brad does additional drumming after the breakdown, and I know he's in front of a synth keyboard before the breakdown, but I'm not sure which part of the song he's playing. (for reference)
I know that Brad plays the fade in synth in the beginning of Blackout ... what he does before the breakdown ... no idea. I would love some of that energy in the shows I'm seeing this summer
Spotify is a music streaming service, the best one in my opinion, which you can listen to music for free or through a subscription. I strongly recommend the premium streaming since you can listen to music everywhere, without limits and without ads. And you have the latest in music. So... Spotify is my choice for One More Light.
He plays a one-handed droning part in the intro and the two choruses before the breakdown. It's a constant E note with a higher note that alternates from A to B every other measure. Mike's keyboard is a lot louder than Brad's, and he also plays that part during the intro, but when you hear it farther in the back during the choruses, that's Brad.
