Here's my guess for the new set: New mash-up intro Papercut Given Up One Step Closer Runaway (Shortened, Outro Transition into Wastelands) Wastelands Points of Authority High energy new song? From the Inside Ballad Medley Heavy New Divide Breaking the Habit Slow new song? Burn it Down Final Masquerade Numb (New intro) In the End Faint (Ext. Outro) -------------- Waiting for the End (Apaches intro) One More Light What I've Done (Ext. Guitar Solo) Bleed it Out (Ext. outro) ..
They haven't. Although I can live with that one haha. I guess it's common enough (although I wouldn't say it's a modern thing, it's just more of a "we've already released 6 albums" sort of thing ), but it still irks me. I just don't get why the band themselves have no interest in performing so much of their own music.
Maybe UIG is too hard to sing? It's one of those power ballads, and I can see that Chester often has a hard time singing it, especially since hard-to-sing songs like BID and New Divide are already in the sets. As for GATS, if it was too hard for them, then why bother bringing in ALITS when it's just as hard? Elements of "The Summoning" can be heard in the Carnivores Tour intro to GATS.
That skippy "it's not like I made the choice" is probably my favourite part of "Heavy." I guess it's kind of uncharacteristic for Linkin Park.
Yeah, LP hasn't been big on syncopated, or even triplet, rhythms when it comes to their vocals. I really like it too.
So the charts are in for "Heavy". It's not as low as I anticipated, but it seems to be doing ok. Probable factors include Billboard's changing standards to include streaming and social media presence. They haven't had a top 40 hit since "Burn It Down", but this seems pretty alright. Billboard (US): Hot 100 - #52 (first LP song to chart in Hot 100 since "A Light That Never Comes", #65) Adult Top 40 - #33 Adult Pop Songs - #33 Alternative Songs - #30 (LP is tied with Green Day as having the 2nd most number #1s, their last being BID) Hot Rock Songs - #3 Mainstream Top 40 - #27 Rock Airplay - #46 Twitter Top Tracks (damn this is new) - #13 Digital Song Sales - #17 Pop Songs - #27 UK Official Singles Chart - #53 Australia ARIA Chart - #33
Work is so boring that I just played a "let's see how many of Linkin Park's 86 tracks over 7 studio albums I can name without any help" game. Took me a while to remember a few, but I got them all without help. I also did my list alphabetically. I may have a problem.
Linkin Park is the only band I probably remember every song title by heart off the top of my head randomly. I'd probably get the track order wrong on a couple albums though. Tom's Blink-182 too if it wasn't for Cheshire Cat
Same here. Linkin Park is the only band I have this kind of knowledge and memory for. I've even memorized the lyrics to most of their songs. So at times I'll have a long drive where I play an LP playlist and as long as I'm in the mood and have the energy for it, I could sing along almost the entire time lol. Like, over a playlist of their complete discography.
Between the start of 2002 and some time in 2005, LP was the only thing I listened to so I became pretty familiar with all the music they had at the time. One of the main reasons I'm still an LP fan today is because, over the years, I became really good at being one.
Same here. I know every word (even the rap verses ) from their discography. so ask me anything about LP if you want.
Odd question, but why is there a youtube video on which most of the comments consist of "Think of the children you harmed, Mike." I mean..they all seemed to be referring to Ian Watkins, but how can you even come to the assumption its Mike they're talking about.
Since that alphabetical list comment has been officially moved to Random LP Chat (Thanks minuteforce, for doing that) I may as well share my list. As well as the few random, fairly useless facts at the bottom I included... 1) All for Nothing 2) Battle Symphony 3) Blackout 4) Bleed it Out 5) Breaking the Habit 6) Burn it Down 7) Burning in the Skies 8) By Myself 9) Castle of Glass 10) Catalyst, The 11) Crawling 12) Cure for the Itch 13) Don't Stay 14) Drawbar 15) Easier to Run 16) Empty Spaces 17) Faint 18) Fallout 19) Figure.09 20) Final Masquerade 21) Foreword 22) Forgotten 23) From the Inside 24) Given Up 25) Good Goodbye 26) Guilty All the Same 27) Halfway Right 28) Hands Held High 29) Heavy 30) Hit the Floor 31) In Between 32) In My Remains 33) In Pieces 34) In the End 35) Invisible 36) I'll be Gone 37) Iridescent 38) Jornada del Muerto 39) Keys to the Kingdom 40) Leave Out All the Rest 41) Lies Greed Misery 42) Line in the Sand, A 43) Little Things Give You Away, The 44) Lost in the Echo 45) Lying from You 46) Mark the Graves 47) Messenger, The 48) No More Sorrow 49) Nobody Can Save Me 50) Nobody's Listening 51) Numb 52) One More Light 53) One Step Closer 54) Papercut 55) Place for my Head, A 56) Points of Authority 57) Powerless 58) Pushing Me Away 59) Radiance, The 60) Rebellion 61) Requiem, The 62) Roads Untraveled 63) Robot Boy 64) Runaway 65) Session 66) Shadow of the Day 67) Sharp Edges 68) Skin to Bone 69) Somewhere I Belong 70) Sorry for Now 71) Summoning, The 72) Talking to Myself 73) Tinfoil 74) Until it Breaks 75) Until it's Gone 76) Valentine's Day 77) Victimized 78) Waiting for the End 79) Wake 80) War 81) Wastelands 82) What I've Done 83) When They Come for Me 84) Wisdom, Justice & Love 85) With You 86) Wretches and Kings - Q, X, Y, Z have no songs - Can't spell out Linkin Park vertically; only one K, unless you use Reanimation titles (Kyur 4 th Ich, Krwlng) - W leads with 9 songs - No "real song" starts with J
Haha, just that it's a short interlude piece... but yea, more of a song I guess than The Radiance, Empty Spaces, Wisdom Justice Love and probably The Fallout.
