I got this print of Mike's penis in the exactly same thread. There are multiple depoiments about people meeting LP. Most of them complaining on how fast the M&G are, and how they don't feel intimate.
Yeah it's a lot better. Rather than sit behind a table and have fans go down like an assembly line, the LPU staff positions the crowd in a circle around the room and the band members basically make their way around the crowd and chat for a little with each person. It's a lot less intimidating for first timers because the band is approaching them, instead of the fans nervously walking up to a table.
Listening to Live in Texas for the first time in a while, I really want a high quality album like this of all the cool stuff they've done in their live sets since 2007...the ATS interludes, ballad medley, COG experience, Mike/Joe solos, etc.
+99999999999 Though I quite like their live DVDs, especially the ATS+ one, they'll never get to Live in Texas quality. Also on a side note I would like to hear more bass from Dave, I'd really love to hear him play and not try to guess what note he's playing by watching his bass live.
What the guys need to do live is play songs like Crawling or New Divide in a lower key because Chester just can't do it anymore. Well, that or gtfo with that shit.
I just checked the social media accounts of the individual members of the band, and I just realized how much they've aged. Chester's 40 years old, and he has wrinkles (he still looks really good though). But it's kinda surreal being one of those people who have liked a band since I was younger (I was 6 years old when I first heard of the band in 2003, I'm turning 20 in a month), and seeing these young angsty guys age into mature, smart, nice rockstars. And most of the band will turn 40 next year. I don't know, it's just a random thing I've checked out to pass the time.
Right there with you I turned 20 in September and I became a huge fan back in 2003 when I was 6 years old... and I have been seeing their social media and noticing the same thing. It's a weird feeling seeing the band age and it makes me feel a little old to even tho im still very young.
