Damn what's with all these metalheads dying?! First The Rev, then Dio and now him. Rest in Peace.

Jesus, I NEVER expected to come online to this. Slipknot won't be the same without him anymore. :(

RIP PAUL GRAY - one of the greatest bassisits of his generation.

I heard about this earlier. Really sucks.

I've been to Des Moines so I can see where the band gets all of it's angst.

they held a press conference. it just ended... To see one of the most aggresive bands in recent memory be in tears. It's really sad. You know they loved him. Slipknot will never be the same

If it was indeed a drug overdoes, then it really sucks they he couldn't straighten up his shit even with a child on the way. Tbh, it's probably better that the child isn't going to grow up with a junkie dad...

    RIP, anyway.

The thing is, although he was a drug taker, his doctor has told the press that he wasn't an addict. I guess he should have quit the stuff altogether though seeing as he had a child on the way.

The press conference put alot of shit in perspective for me though. When you see the remaining 8 members of Slipknot out of their shells with their masks removed, you do realise they're just as human as any of us which is easy to forget with the facade they create in the band. You could tell that the band really is a family to those guys and a very tight-knit one at that.

Off topic, the press conference was the first time I've ever actually seen Craig without his mask lol (far right).

Slipknot has been one of the biggest influences in my life, second only to LP; this is a huge blow. R.I.P, but I could. I really hope the band sticks together. Thank you Paul, for being a part of one of the best nights of my life: my first and so far only Slipknot concert.
