They don't even have enough material to warrant a greatest hits.
Exactly what I was thinking, but hey, it didn't stop Guns n Roses or 311.
Exactly what I was thinking, but hey, it didn't stop Guns n Roses or 311.
but in the case of LP its diff...they hav how many 'real' albums now? 3 or 2? not exactly sure how u would you count it but u need more albums den this to make a greatests hits or else u would be left wif wad....ererrrrr...12songs?

They should make a law that bands cant release a greatest hits unless they have been signed for atleast 10 years or have 4 albums or more. lol
They don't even have enough material to warrant a greatest hits.
Like Creed...3 albums...and a greatest hits... How I pity them.
Creed were broken up when the Greatest Hits was released. It was most likely Wind-Up being greedy and trying to cash in on the Creed name one last time. That'd be funny if Warner Bros. ended up with the rights to everything LP has released on WB.
i was using the greatest hits example as a quick fix solution for linkin park. Imean if they release 1 more album with warner and then release a greatest hits and some other stuff they can quickly finish off the 10 album deal and start lookin for another label. lol
Like Creed...3 albums...and a greatest hits... How I pity them.
Yeah I guess a greatest hits album is usually a sign that a band is done for. Like Creed and Stone Temple Pilots for example.
I wonder if LP did break away from WB (or fullfilled their contract), If they would keep the name Linkin Park or change their name again. I mean, they have changed their band name twice already. Maybe to shed WB from themselves. Then they may not mind releasing a greatest hits album under the name linkin park. Thats probabaly a silly thought
They don't even have enough material to warrant a greatest hits.
They didn't really have enough material to warrant a remix album or a live album but it didn't stop them...
They didn't really have enough material to warrant a remix album or a live album but it didn't stop them...
That's different. A greatest hits album is a collection of the band's greatest singles. The only "great hits" they could possibly put on a Greatest Hits album would be "One Step Closer", "Crawling", "Papercut", "In The End", "Pts.of.Atrty", "Somewhere I Belong", "Faint", "Numb", "From The Inside" and "Breaking The Habit". And some of those singles ("Papercut", "Pts.of.Athrty", "From The Inside") weren't even smashes on radios or tvs either, so no they don't have enough material to make a greatest hits album. All a live album needs is a live show with around fifteen songs. LP easily fulfilled that requirement. Besides, if they had waited a few more years all we'd be hearing from the live shows is single upon single, instead of non-single album tracks, which is much better than hearing the same overplayed songs over and over.
Well, they did have enough to warrant a remix album, but aside from that... I wish they had 'Live in Germany' instead of Live in Texas. Although the Pushing remix was hot.
