That's what I call a kick in the ass.
I found another cable that works, so it's all good. Now to turn over the house looking for my cable, and my case (which I lost earlier).
Just use the link posted above.
Yeah, it really doesn't matter that it's the Japanese update because your PSP will stay in English and they haven't even confirmed a US 2.0 Update yet as far as I know. They've just released it in Japan and confirmed it in Europe.

I even added a seperate folder in my Pictures folder just for backgrounds.
yeah, I just read on IGN that they don't want US to update their PSP's with the Japanese updates. They said something about us not getting the 2.0 update till summer of next year or something like that. Anyway...i guess i'll update mine....i just don't want to mess it up.

The update now comes out on August 12th for North America (U.S. and Canada). I used the Japanese update, it's a good update I must say, but the browser doesn't work well for me. It's slow as cold molases and doesn't load images and always disconnects or comes up with DNS errors.
My brother updated his PSP to 2.0. Its a pain in the ass for any real browsing; give me a computer any day. But its convienent. The other night, we wanted to order pizza. Not having a menu, that would normally mean getting off my lazy ass to go to a computer to go to their site for a menu, then the phonebook for the phone number. But with his PSP and the phone on the table right beside me, I could get their menu and phone # without getting off the couch
I haven't had any problems yet, works great for me... And the browser is better than the Wipeout one... I'm using this as my background atm, looks great. Of course it's too big for the psp screen but I artistically placed it so that it'd look good...
I'm going to wait and see if the American version works better on my PSP. The browser right now is sucking so much ass. In the mean time, I'm making some PSP backgrounds and they can be veiwed here. The site which they are hosted on and which I recommend is themepsp.com. If you are interested or currently making backgrounds for your PSP or other PSP's, I would recommend this site to host them and show them to the public.
IGN announced that North America and Canada are to get version 2.0 on August 12th. Well, today is August 12th and no sign of it? Have any of you been able to download it, or have you come across the american version of it? or have any of you even heard anything else on when usa is going to get the next update?
Should we upgrade (would that be the word to use? hah.) to the NA version if we're on the Japanese version, or does it really matter?
