If youve seen Lord of the Rings, then you know what the Ringwraiths look like. They basically look the same except they fly, they have no legs and their black shrouds are torn up. They have rips on the head portion where you can see their open mouths that they use to suck the good feeling and soul out of their victims. Their hands are the only visible part of them, and theyre just rotten, bony skinny fingers. Ill try to post a picture of one if I can find a good one.
w00t! Dementors rule! I've seen the trailer countless times, and I've already got sick of Harry shouting, "EXPECTO PATRONUMMM!!!". Anyway, I can't wait to watch! BTW : Slytherin rocks! B)
I never read the books, but I saw all the movies. They're allright. I donno I think I liked the movie before Prisoner of Azkaban better (I forget what it's called).
I saw the movie last saturday and thought it was a good movie but it was very boring at some parts for a long time and I find this movie had a very slow pace than the first two movies. I think the second movie is the best one so far.
Slow paced? I thought it was rushed...everything was too fast.
Yeah, the whole movie was rushed. One moment you're at Trelawney's class, the next moment you're watching Lupin turning into a werewolf. The movie didn't explain much, like Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs being Lupin, Peter, Sirius and James. And they didn't even mention that the Patronus Harry casted at the lake was his father as a stag! Like Maelle said, it would be hard for someone who didn't read the book to understand. My sister walked out of the cinema asking, "So, is Lupin good or bad?" BTW : Lupin is one skinny werewolf! And Daniel can't cry.
i watched it today! it rocks! I love the scene on the train when the dementor waves his hands past the handle and the door just opens and he slides his fingers in really slooowly...
I haven't gotten that far with the books yet, in reading them I mean. I thought the movie was good, I've seen it twice. I loved it, especailly the Dementors because creepy things like that are my favourites. I'll probably end up buying it when it comes out because I'm like that.
I need to ask you a question: I'm not fan of Harry Potter at all, but I think this movie may be interesting. I've read 4 HP books few years ago. Is it worth seeing it? Is it like one of the must-see movies?
Not really a must-see movie. If you're a HP fan, you might be disappointed with how the whole movie turned out. Kinda rushed. Anyways, go ahead and watch it ... Draco is a lame wuss and Hermione turned out to be the coolest.
I finally dragged my ass out to the movie theaters today. I'm gonna write a full-blown review because this movie definately deserves one. First off, the change of directors was obvioiusly right off the bat. The blowing up of Aunt Marge was hilarious, and the ride on the Knight Bus was very thrilling, with some seriously cool effects. The director didn't waste any time at all on the boring stuff, and I felt he did just enough to set the tone of a fresh year at Hogwarts. The filming angles were amazing, and so were the effects. There's also more humor in this one than the previous two IMO. Secondly, I felt the actors had really matured and acted much more naturally. Harry was great, and I think Hermione especially came into her own in this movie. Also, as someone mentioned before, Tom Felton was excellent at playing the wimp. I agree the movie was really rushed, but there's no way around that when the time-travel thing near the end takes up half the movie. I was very impressed with how the time warp thing turned out, the stone throwing by Hermione, among other things, was really witty. So basically, the movie is intended for someone who is familiar with the book and is a treat for action-lovers (like me). If you don't mind skipping lots of scenes and know what's going on, this movie will be really entertaining, it gets a 10/10 from me. I'm looking forward to how this director does the next movie, which requires much more action.
Its not him doing the next movie. Its some Mike guy, I dont know the last name yet.
####, did he choose not to do it?
####, did he choose not to do it?
I dont really know what the situation was with it, but that Mike guy just wanted to do it, so he is.
Well in that case, I call the fifth one.
Actually supposedly Tim Burton is signed for the fifth movie. Thatd be cool.
