" "I was not born in a manger. I was actually born on Krypton. I was sent here by my father Jorel to save the planet Earth... Many of you know that I got my name from my father. "Barack" is Swahili for "That one." I got my middle name from somebody who obviously didn't realize I would run for president." "My greatest strength would be my humility. My greatest weakness is that it's possible I am too awesome." " http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/10/16/the-last-laugh-mccain-oba_n_135454.html
That was fucking awesome actually, I watched it here just now and I was in histerics. Having said that, McCain made me crack up with this.
Obama really is 'just too awesome.' I mean come on... a facebook joke, a Jesus joke, and a Superman joke within a 30 second period. That's pretty good.
W-h-o-a! Obama is just too awesome....he pwned the shit out of McCain in the last debate. He's the perfect one for the top job, and if I were in the US, I'd definitely vote for him. YES WE CAN!
Be that as it may, you can't deny that the country has evolved to have Christian ideals incorporated into its various systems.
Fucking ridiculous. Damn some people are so stupid. http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/politics/2008/10/17/racist.obama.newsletter.kcal
"Those are black stereotypes." "Says who?" Oh please, if it quacks like a duck, and looks like a duck, its a duck. Idiots.
Possibly. The problem is just, Christian ideals are so disparate and contradictory. We have some homophobia implemented, but we don't stone gays as said in the Bible. We don't stone disobedient children, or those who work on the Sabbath. We don't stone women who cannot prove they were virgins on their wedding night. We do not stone adulterers. And I mean, some of the values we do have: thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, etc. These are obvious things. No one is going to be like "Hm, I want to steal that car". "Thou shall not steal!". "Oh, that kind of thing is wrong? Nevermind!". It's just silly. Some of Christianity's ideals and America's ideals happen to fall in line with common sense and the rest of the world's moral compass, and due to this they overlap. This does not mean America incorporated Christianity though, they just happened to overlap. I mean, there are some Christian values such as faith, homophobia, etc. which are incorporated into America but I don't think these really are near enough to call America a Christian Nation, or founded on Christianity, or incorporating it to any heavy extent. However, I do think it is often used to justify bigotry and intolerance though, and used to control and placate people.
Who exactly is Joe the plumber? Besides a plumber called Joe. Never mind, I just found an article about him. Oh my god, the next time I see someone who seems to think that all socialism equates to Stalin-type stuff I'm sure I'll put a brick through something.
Yeah. I just read an article about him as well. I'm getting kind of tired of people thinking socialism and communism are the same thing.
McCain: "JFK Assasination was an intervention..err Tragedy in Dallas..." Intervention? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBAsHTSbkXs
And yet something else to add to the list of ridiculous comments I have heard in relation to Barack Obama lately.
