Obama's view is a pretty simple one: The United States should've never been in Iraq to begin with. So I'll assume he's going to try to get the troops out as soon as possible without destroying any already-set-in-stone plans (the good plans, not the let's-get-some-oil plans).
If Obama has a good stance on drugs (see Paul, Ron) and is for universal healthcare, then I might have to switch allegiances from Edwards to Obama.
No candidate will have a good stance on drugs except for Ron Paul because he's a fucking wacko libertarian who scares the shit out of me only slightly less than Fuckabee
I like Ron Paul's views on drugs. It makes alot of since, but it doesn't to other people since I guess they can't see past what they've been told all their lives about marijuana. Oh well. It'll happen one day.
I'm all for legalization, but there are more important things at stake this election, and that's certainly on the bottom of my list of reasons why I support a candidate
As much as I love Ron Paul, he's a nutjob. The man wants to dismantle the IRS, and probably the federal government as well. And that's where I decided to switch my vote.
More proof that Huckabee is fucking crazy and needs to be stopped: http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/01/15/579265.aspx
That's absolutely insane. He clearly didn't pass through law school if he never learned about the separation of Church and State. Don't these politicians know there are more religions in the world than their own? Not that the line between Church and State isn't being blurred enough as it is.
After Bush, I'm going to do whatever I can to make sure Huckabee does not get into office. He's a political right wing nutjob who thinks God is telling him to do everything he does (just like Bush) and we honestly do not need another four years of that bullshit. I mean seriously.
I agree. You can be religious all you want in your personal time. But when it comes time to make decisions for millions of people, hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of whom don't share your religious views, I'd like for you to keep your views to yourself and not let them interfere with the running of a country whose basis is the separation of Church and State.
Mike Huckabee seriously scares the SHIT out of me...I see him as a far greater danger to this country than Bush ever was, and that's really saying a lot. The man needs to be fucking institutionalized, yet he actually has a legitimate shot at becoming President...what the fuck is wrong with this country? I might catch some crap from Todd for saying so, but I actually kinda like Ron Paul. I wouldn't vote for the guy, but honestly other than him being pro-life, I pretty much agree with all of his views. He's the most likable Republican candidate I've personally seen in my lifetime.
Obama is seriously killing in the SC primary right now. Obama: 53% Clinton: 28% 12% of precincts reporting. It's predicted by news outlets to be the most dominant win in the presidential race thus far. A near landslide.
It's official, all 3 major networks have called it for Obama. He has been declared a winner with 53% of the vote. Hillary came in second with 28% and Edwards got the rest. This is the biggest win so far in the race. Most common reason people didn't vote for Hillary when asked is because of how viciously she has attacked Obama in the past couple of days. Many made the switch because they are tired of the Clinton's negative campaign strategy and are ready for change. And everyone thought Obama was a fluke after NH. Well look who's back, fired up..and ready to go!
The stupid part about her verbal attacks is that they're both in the same party. It's not even like they're political rivals in the same sense that a Democrat and a Republican would be rivals.
It's because she wants the Democratic nod all for herself so she'll do whatever she can to try and smear Obama's reputation. Thing is...people know this is what she's doing and it's backfiring on her.
I also think people are beginning to realize she's not going to be anywhere near as awesome a president as her husband.
