So Obama had this goal to get 100,000 new donors before the Nevada Caucus on January 19th. He is now up to 96,279. A mere 3,721 away from hitting the target. Now if he can gather that much support in only 13 days, I believe he has an incredible chance of becoming our next president. We just need those people in the early states (and the February 5th states) to get off their asses, get out there and vote for him when it counts. We need people to get out there and help him get the Democratic nomination. That includes people who haven't voted before and are now old enough to vote for the first time. If you are an American in one of the 'early states' who is old enough to vote, and if you support him: Get out there and make your voice heard.
Already did Absentee voting since I'll be away at college on election day. Now I just need to get off my ass and get it notarized and mailed
I wish Pennsylvania meant something this election. We were supposed to move our primary to February...
And I have no clue why we did not. It pisses me off. The one election that means more to me than anything, and I can't even make an impact in it. At least not until around November...assuming (and hoping) that Obama got the democratic nomination.
When is the PA primary? And if it's still close after the Feb. 5th primary, the race will be far from over, and the PA primary might mean something
No. Edwards (Dem.) & McCain (Rep.) I know, I know. It's not going to happen. It'll probably be Obama (Dem.) & Huckabee (Rep.) Just... shoot me now.
Huckabee is only getting the press he is right now because the Reps and the media are trying to force McCain out of the public eye and get Huckabee into the forefront. I like Edwards more than Obama, though. No matter who wins, though, I wish I could say that there's a change coming, but... I just don't feel it.
No matter who becomes president, I doubt we'll see any change in their term. It's going to take a long time for our economy to turn around. That's how I feel about it anyway. But to be on topic: Michigan's Primary is on Tuesday and I plan on going out to vote for Obama.
Is the economy really what you're worried about? I'd rather see America stopping fucking with other countries, and their economies, no offence. As in, Americas foreign relations seem to be the problem, from my point of view.
Well those two issues correlate as far as I'm concerned. We need to focus on our own economy instead of messing around with other countries, yes. I don't think we can just change right away though and it's definitely going to take a long time.
Yea ok thats fair enough. Unfortunately, strengthening America's economy seems to requite pushing around countries like Australia. Like, I realise America has to do it, its just unfortunate for us.
Well apparently John Edwards and Barack Obama withdrew from Michigan's Ballot in the Primary because we're breaking the Feb. 5th rule or whatever it is so I'm not gonna vote in the primary.
Go vote uncommited, and urge anyone who doesn't want Hillary to win to do the same. That way, you can prevent Hillary from winning any delegates
I feel the exact same way. Don't get me wrong... I like Obama (and Edwards), but they are politicians, which is a nice way of saying professional bullshitter.
I understand your economy concerns being in Michigan but the economy has been pretty good despite what Obama, Clinton, etc. have said. If the "Big 3" would start selling cars to people instead of Big Oil interests then maybe Michigan's auto industry and thus economy would turn around. It was their choice to keep making gas guzzlers and now the Japanese autos are kicking their asses. If you want to better the economy, vote Ron Paul. He's from the same town as Slick Willie so that would seem correct.
