Barack Obama places #3 on Time 100's Most Influential People, behind only the Dalai Lama and Vladimar Putin: http://www.time.com/time/specials/2007/article/0,28804,1733748_1733757_1736048,00.html Of course Hillary comes in at #4 (it was vote based), but we out voted Hillary! Woohoo!
You mean they look the same as each other, or they look the same in the aged pictures? You'd be right either way actually.
So Guam had their Democratic primary today (Yes, I know you're thinking what the hell is Guam and why are they hell are they voting in the US election) and Obama won it by 7 votes. Delegate split will be a whopping 2 delegates each, but a win's a win. Really makes you glad that no Obama supporters stayed at home thinking "Meh, we're just some tiny island halfway around the world that no one cares about, I'm not going to bother voting." And Hillary supporters who said that are kicking themselves in the ass right about now
This is why this man needs to be president. His answers were DEAD on: The Gas Tax Afghanistan Iran
"We now know who the Democratic nominee is going to be." Tim Russert MSNBC just called Obama the presumptive nominee. Hillary has canceled all morning show appearances for tomorrow, and lost NC by 20 points. She might win IN but as of right now its only a 2-3% lead. It's hardly a win.
From what I've gathered they've taken so long to put for the nomination that whoever is chosen is going to get dominated by McCain...
56% of Lake County in Indiana reporting in: 65% Obama. That's only 56% AND UNION COUNTY AIN'T EVEN COUNTED YET. That less than 2 point lead of Clinton's could go buh-bye. edit- Hillary narrowly gets Indiana. Oh well. Obama is still presumptive and that's what matters =D
Well, I wouldn't be so sure about McCain dominating. Because he wrapped up the Republican nomination so much earlier, he's been sitting relatively idle for quite some time now, at least compared to Obama/Clinton. It's kind of hard for him to put his campaign into full swing until he knows who he's campaigning against. Meanwhile, Barack vs. Hillary has been at the forefront of American media for months now. Once the Democratic nomination is finally settled, people are going to be a lot more familiar with whoever wins than they are with McCain. This dragging out for so long may actually hurt him. However, I do think it's a lot easier to swing a Democrat into voting Republican than it is vice versa. People in general tend to become more conservative as they get older, so it's a more "natural" change than it is to randomly go liberal. It's going to be quite interesting to see how this all plays out. I just hope when it's all said and done people have enough sense to put Obama into office.
Well, I stayed up till 6am this morning just so I could watch the primary. I was hoping Obama would come back and win Indiana, if only to show up the people who said Hilary had won it at 80% of the incoming vote, haha. I was really happy to see that it was only a narrow victory though. If Obama doesn't get the nomination for November I will be very dissapointed and upset.
It's so weird hearing you guys refer to liberals as the left wing. They're the right wing party in Australia
If he doesn't get the nomination for November I'll be very angry. Hilary has no right in office what so ever.
