FOX is probably the only thing that compares in the level of bias. And Israel would do just fine without the US. Their military is just as good, if not better than ours.
But still, it's probably a valid suggestion that the only thing stopping Palestine from just nuking the hell out of Israel is that Israel has the support of the USA.
As if they don't. As if we don't. As if anyone doesn't. I figure, it's too risky not too, you've gotta be able to fight back if something nuclear were to happen.
Given Hamas, Iran, et al's attitude towards Israel, they'd have at least threatened the use of it by now. It's almost guaranteed nobody will ever actually use one at this point in time, because it's just a case of mutual destruction.
Now come on.. First off, Israel wouldn't be even this strong if it hadn't been for US and their constant military help. And second, as strong as they are, Arabs will destroy them sooner of later, even if it that means that millions of Arab people will die. That's inevitable and Israel knows it, that's why they try to gain as much power while they can. And considering nukes, I'd be surprised if no Arab country has nukes. But even if they don't, I'm sure there will be somebody to help them out with a couple of warheads. I heard something about a truce today on the TV, I hope they all calm the fuck down.
! edit: Every source of news HAS to be centered around some sot of bias, anyway you look at it. Filtering out any bit of bias from that news, you still get the fact that depleted uranium is being used. edit2: Dusan has points as well, Israel wouldn't even have existed were it not for the US after WWII. It's a never-ending fight. =\ and both are determined to win. Both.
Yes, Israel wouldn't be here without the help of the US, but now, they don't need us to survive, and why our government is still involved is beyond me.
Scare tactics already..... Obama's dire warning It didnt work last spring, it didnt work with the $700 billion bailout, why would it work now? Sorry Dem leadership, throwing our money at this monster isnt going to make it go away this time. Rhetoric reform isnt going to work either so its high time these tools do some real work for once. Shows he isnt as good a judge of character as he appears. i.e. Rev Wright, William Ayers, etc.
Oh dear god. Is this seriously how you're going to be over the next four to eight years? Is this what we have to look forward to, more of the same bullshit you gave us during the general election? Sorry to be rude, but there's a reason why I find criticism of Obama at this point to be sort of childish: It hasn't even been 90 days since Obama was elected president. Barack has not even had enough time to really make an impact (nor has he even been officially sworn in!) and yet you're already a huge critic of him and his administration. I understand you're frustrated, because you're sick to your stomach at how irresponsible Washington has become. As a disenfranchised Republican you are hoping that things get better than the last 8 years were, or that a Democratic president can actually do things well enough to impress you, I understand that. But is it really getting you anywhere to act the way you are now? McCain had just as many bad connections as Obama, and I'm sure neither of them are squeaky clean. There isn't a such thing as a totally clean politician in Washington, but to think that Obama is the messiah and will get everything solved before he gets into office, or during his 4-8 years as president is outlandish. I know you're not directly implying that, but your attitude suggests it. Think of it this way: It took us a decade to get to where we are now, it's likely going to take a decade for us to get out of it. Obama wont fix everything in his 1-2 terms as presidency, and even I (a hardcore supporter of his run for the presidency) knows that he can only do so much. But seriously, wait to see how he does first before criticizing him before he even takes the oath. And bringing up Wright and Ayers just made me roll my eyes, considering Ayers has even come out since the election to say he hardly knew Obama and wishes he knew him more. Obama had nothing to do with Ayers, yet you and others fail to realize that. Wright has also thrown Obama under the bus, so it's clear that relationship wasn't as close as the media made it either.
While I see nothing wrong with Obama (he's new, sure, but he needs to be able to handle criticism from the get-go if he is president), I think it unfair to think he should be required to access everyone's character perfectly.
Exactly, and again...he isn't even in office yet. In lighter news: Already pre-ordered my copy. http://www.midtowncomics.com/Neshop...boParCat=61&txtTitle=Amazing+Spider-Man+#583#
