    it says on wikipedia

"Lies" is a song by the nu metal band Linkin Park. It's a b-side from the Linkin Park Underground works.

This song was premiered in late 2006 during shows in Japan. On a setlist for the shows it was labeled as "QWERTY", but has since been confirmed as being titled "Lies".

    Come on now. Wikipedia?

STOP TRUSTING THAT WEBSITE. I can edit it and say 'shit, poop, fuck, ass.' and they'll accept it.

It'd be funny if you did put that in, and Linkin Park just so happened to make a song called, "Shit, poop, fuck, ass."

    That would make my life.

But yes, Derek is right. Wikipedia is reliable most of the time, but nothing is ever completely true. It can be edited rather easily, and at such a time, anything that's put on without being revealed through the LPU or the Official Website or through some sort of interview and such should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Well, I'm sure they wouldn't accept it. It'd be gone within a minute. And I think most things you add would be checked out as well. The site is alot more reliable than you seem to think.

Of course, I will agree with you that it is not completely 100% reliable, but it's definitely not a site that's just getting lies spilled into it randomly and accepted.

Well in this case, 'lies' are being spilled into it...

And really, wikipedia is just an outlet of mob mentality. If enough people believe it to be true, it automatically is. I mean, for a long time the whole 'Ciara is/was a transgender' was on wikipedia, despite it not being fact and just a rumor.

A few months ago I edited the Wiki page for my hometown and said I was the mayor. It's simple.

Exactly. And I had a track called "Anything Can Be Put on Wikipedia!" in the Linkin Park section for days until I decided to take it off.

They do not check their articles at all.

They check them, but as long as the change is subtle, or isnt absolutely ridiculous, it goes unnoticed. and a different name for a song is hardly a noticeable change, so it goes unnoticed.

Not really, if he had claimed that the band was officially changing there name to Anything Can Be Put On Wikipedia, it would be noticed immediately, if he had put a heading in the article that read Anything Can Be Put On Wikipedia, it would be noticed immediately. But the mods etc. of Wikipedia don't have the time to read through every line on every article, Wiki has thousand of pages, its just not possible. Its a trust thing, they expect that people will put true information, and have the faith in people to believe they will do that, but they will notice if someone changes the LP article so that it reads LP pwns no0bs y'all!!! stfya!!!

Dude, please accept the fact that Wikipedia IS NOT an accurate source of information. Unless it is reported in a magazine article, through an interview with a band member, LP's website, or the LPU..it is not to be trusted and not accurate info.

If that doesn't convince you, just read my sig.

Im not saying its reliable, im just saying its not entirely unreliable, as long as you dont search for in-depth info. But its a good, easy acess source of info, as long as they credit their sources.

I reformatted my computer and can no longer locate my high quality version of QWERTY live. Does anybody know where I can obtain one?
