Pokemon White&Black

I'm not the world's biggest nerd, but hey the Pokemon games are awesome RPG's. I've had at least one version from every generation of game, and while some of the new Pokemon just look dumb, I think I'll be getting White pretty soon. After all I only got my DS for Platinum/HeartGold.

 

I'm already on the 5th Gym.
Will always love Pokemon.

 

I have the DSi bundle and the black version on layaway at the moment. I don't really care for Pokemon, but it's still a fun game to play.

Pokemon is a pretty ageless RPG IMO. If you want a simple but addictive as FCUK RPG, you play Pokemon.

I got Black.

 

I probably will get it somewhere down the line.

 

They didn't have DS emulators last time I felt like playing the new pokemon's. I've played all of the other ones up till then, though. Red/Blue are still my favorites by a mile.

 

My favorite was the original Gold/Silver. All the pokemon were drawn by the same dude, and they just haven't been the same since :/

I've never traded online, haven't had much time to really devote to doing anything but beating them, but I think you have to have friend codes? Feel free to post yours, I will when I get it this week.

 

I was totally excited and was going to buy this game .... until Portal 2's release date was announced. I think i'll get that one instead. This is coming from someone who's been drawing Reshiram in the margins of their notes the entire quarter.

And in a fit of irony, the hinge on my Nintendo DS snapped off this weekend.... the same weekend the Pokemon games come out. That smothered any chance of getting Black version as an impulse buy.... at least until I find the time to sit down and repair it.

 

I never got the chance to play SoulSilver/HeartGold but heard glowing reviews. You didn't prefer them to the originals?

 

Well yes, they were excellent, they were very deep in content and the gameplay was great, but nothing can beat the 3rd grade nastalgia I had from the originals, and the original soundtrack (which I believe can be unlocked in HG/SS). Since college I just haven't had as much time to nerd it up :/ or I'd have gone through em a few times like I did the originals.

Haha for sure. I don't know why, but that just makes the experience that much better, points to whoever thought about that, cuz the Newbark Town lil jingle just brings it all back!

 

I played heart gold when it came out. I was thinking about getting white but then I looked up the pokemon and they all look retarted and childish for the most part. My friend said the game is really fun but he hates the pokemon

 

I realized a few days ago this was the fifth generation of Pokemons.

 

My thoughts exactly, for once I like the starter pokemon, but fn icecream? Its just dumb. The gameplay is supposed to be ridiculously awesome though.

 

I believe the plural form is PokeMEN

I've gotten 3 badges so far, not the best in the series, but the gameplay sure has improved a lot.
