I'm game. I'll tell you all a really awesome story: When I was like 10 I got some shiny pokemon stickers from this comic book. I cut a few of them out and stuck them to some average pokemon cards like Abra, Pikachu etc to make them seem like ultra rare shiny cards. I managed to trade all of them for the following holographic cards: - Pigeot - Snorlax - Zapdos (Fossil) - Ninetales - Dark Charizard - Dark Golbat - Aerodactyle - Alakazam
I actually am not afraid to admit I like Pokemon, simply because if you look past the child-like exterior, Pokemon is a really good, solid game, and as the series has progressed, the new things that they add contribute so much depth that I think that's what makes the series so addictive. With emphasis on battle calculations like EV training while taking into account the amount of time you can spend mathematically building your team, although it's an easy game to play through (takes me roughly a few days if I rush through), to actually succeed in Diamond/Pearl against real people, you have to understand the mechanics, which actually really does it for me. If you battle people online, you'll see that Pokemon can be just as tough as Final Fantasy in terms of management and doing the proper calculations... Those uber geeks don't fool around. Forget exploiting weaknesses there.. But yeah, I own Red, Blue, Diamond, Pearl, Sapphire and Leaf Green in English, and Yellow, Gold and Silver in Japanese. There are just way too many Pokemon to remember now. I could probably name the first 151, but after that? Psh, there is no way. I had to keep referring to sites to help me remember what name belonged to which Pokemon while going through Diamond. I'm up for trading (as soon as I get that USB wifi thing for the DS). I think I'm going to retire from battling. I seriously want those new Magmar and Electabuzz evolutions, though.
I have Electivire on my team right now. Recently I've gone to www.serebii.net and used their Wi-Fi chat to do some trading. Right now my team is: Gallade Lvl 100 Electivire Lvl 76 Dragonite Lvl 74 Dusknoir Lvl 55 Azelf Lvl 79 Lucario Lvl 100 :-D
I think I brought a gameboy just so I could actually play red/blue to see what the fuss was about, spent many hours playin them both, great games
Same here. Blue was awesome, then I lost it... Charamander is a god, I swear i never let that thing evolve, 'till i got it to like level 98. Then I bought yellow, and wasted even more hours on that. Needless to say, I replaced Pikachu with Chramander as my lead pokemon.
The best things about red and blue were the infinite items (cheat) like the rare candy and master balls XDDD
Yep I also knew the pokemon generation and I really liked it. (I've got about 1300 trading game cards with the first edition complete ^^)
I had this friend...he actually had his walls hanging full of them and shit...I mean...I really started to dislike his obsession, cuz he acted like he was some pokémon god. But still...his room was cool as shit
I have the entire Base, Jungle, Fossil, Team Rocket and Gym Leaders sets. On top of that I have around 2500 cards, some very very rare and atleast 1/4 are 1st edition. Anyone who wants to top that can step up if they dare.
lol? Im assuming your talking about the guy who jumped off the bungie-tower thing. He wasnt pretending to be electabuzz
I've just started Pokemon Silver about 2 hours ago and I can't put the game down I have Togepi and my croconaw is already at level 25! And he is kicking butt
