So Parallels is getting work done here and there, but I've been kind of slowing down. I'm really not one to force things even in the slightest because I can be very dangerous (Not physically but in a "Fuck this I'm deleting everything" sense) when I get frustrated, and I get frustrated easily. Tormented artist, much? So yeah, most of my work only gets done when I'm REALLY feeling up to it. I've been more in a mood to write lighter things though. Just for a background, all my writing since 2008 has been under the moniker of "The Frantic Endeavor" as a "band" name (taken from a line in a Coheed and Cambria song), and until Parallels had no real identifiable, cohesive style (I'm all for genre-bending and really mixing things up but for my own writing I'd like to have things just fit together and be uniform.) anyway I wrote various "pop-punk" styled songs (along the lines of Four Year Strong meets Paramore probably) that I've held onto and would like to continue with, but to release them under the same title as Parallels even in a different album would be strange. My friend Miguel is sort of my go-to guy for planning and critique, and will be my bass player once all this is done. Our conversations are serious in subject regarding the music, but almost never serious in tone: Adam says: I still want to do something with the more "pop-punk" tracks I've written Miguel says: Next album or just like on their own? Adam says: I don't know it would be weird to to P-Lels as F-Dev and then release something less serious and punk-like *to do I'm thinking of doing P-Lels under a new name, then working on the other stuff and putting it out with a different new name, and put F-Dev in the past or keep it if it still feels right Miguel says: Isn't TFE easier than F-Dev? Adam says: Yeah but it doesn't make the bitches drop their panties. Also, I have probably hundreds of Guitar Pro files scattered on my computer. I dip into pretty much every style and ideally would like to record and release in all of them. Not all would be functioning "bands" but I'm thinking in the future I'll have a ton of "projects" available for listening. Just putting that out there.
As if. =P Anyway, what little you have let me listen to over the last few years, and the song you wrote me for my birthday, I think you are doing well with this so far. You just have to stop being so nit picky.
Just write whatever the fuck comes to your mind, as crazy as it sounds and all that - then go through them and pick the best sounding ones and then polish them up. Easier said than done, but I think you can do it.
I am just confused about the title. Is this album Parallels by Endeavor Project? Or is it the code name for it or what?
Think of Endeavor Project as a universal umbrella. *Sort of* a record label but not functioning as such. It'll go, for example, Parallels by [Name] under The Endeavor Project EDIT: New update http://endeavorproject.sotrix.net/
