I'm glad you liked your comment. hehe, and that whole thinking of things to say...that makes so you have something to say. hehe. and yes, i do agree with a lot of your art and a lot of what you think up to say. and I do understand about the whole "worst artist" thing now. It makes sense. lol. I love how it is obscure yet the meaning comes across clearly and there is a lot of depth. lol, I could probly list you 30 things that I really like about this piece or/and your other art if I tried. <3
to me, the more i think about something the more worse it becoems and i get to the point where it is just a load of bullshit and crap just thrown onto a canvas. I try to start with amain idea and just, you know, throw things around it spontaniously. Glad you get it, haha. It's a sign of modesty and negativity at the same time i guess if you want to think that. if you have THAT much time on your hands, go absolutly nuts. If you can think of things beyond what i've layed out, go crazy even more than you already have. i never honestly figure out the meaning of wha ti do until the end, haha.
That is really typical for most artists. It is only the person looking from the outside that sees it deeper and deeper. The more you mature, and the more you grow, or the closer you look, then you see all the little flaws, all the things that could have been better since it is your art, but when the outsider looks in, maybe those flaws add to the overall meaning for them, maybe they arn't flaws at all. hehe that's why I like art so much, it really is in the eye of the beholder. haha yeah, it really is. It is also a sign of insecurity. You would rather say that and have people dissagree, than say that you are really good and have people dissagree. lol, no, I really don't have that much time on my hands. In fact I really don't have much at all. and, again, I know a lot of artists like that. You get inspired to do something, then you do it, and then you look at it and decide what it means. hehe.
Artist should just go do what they do, stop whining or listening to consumers, professionals, or teachers. Let the public decide if it is good or not, let them pick out the qualities or flaws. but I still see the flaws, no matter how much the cumsumer tries to argue it's a perfection. As an artist, I absolutly hate being told what restrictions or limits I have. Or just simply what i "have to do". Where's the grounds for creativity there? Tis easier to be insecure, than secure. When you're secure, one wrong move can send you tumbling down to a pile of ash. I obviously have enough to do this stuff. Haha. That's the fun part about doing it that way, if you are given limits, you can actually go far beyond them. Then, when you look for the meaning yourself within the piece, you take the lines you drew outside the square and squeeze them all back in to get your A+.
I concur. Art should not be about what other people like or think that you should do. The artist should be able to just express themselves. even if it may be contorversial or unpopular. Imagine if people only did what other people liked. We wouldn't have rock music. Art is for the artist, for the expression, and for whatever else the creator thinks it should be for. With flaws it is a little different though. The artist may see the flaw, and if could be hard on him, but as long as it isn't too detrimental to the meaning it isn't really that big of a deal. It is nearly impossible to make something perfect, especially if you look for flaws. You're right, it is much much easier to be insecure. Then when some get secure, they start to get egos, and have all the more reason to be torn down by others. It is a very normal thing in today's society to be insecure and have low self-esteem. yes, I agree. Art is what you want it to be. Its great. Can you imagine living in a place that wouldn't allow self expression? *shudders*
Once again, it all goes back to the eye of the beholder. Somebodies imperfect, is some one elses perfection. But some tiems the egos get away with alot more, leaving us insecurities behind them. I have first hand proof. I can imagine that. I can also imagine me, or anybody else being the person to beark the silence and do what he wanted instead of painting with a dry brush on a white page.
A bit late for me to comment, I'm sorry. But honestly, this is simply amazing. Very political, but at the same time not being too argumentative or blunt. It's also simple and clean, which is probably the best style. Awesome piece of art Aaron.
