This is unfortunately not the most distinctly "Linkin Park" song on the album, but I still really like it for what it is, and it's the one I keep going back to at the moment. To me, this is a better-written, less-juvenile version of "Friendly Fire"
The reframing of phrase technique in music has always been such a beautiful thing, and honestly, this might be the biggest grower on the album for those who didn’t see it straight away. I like it more and more as everything else on the album slowly makes Em feel “Linkin Park” one listen at a time. This one’s getting shot into the stratosphere over time, a straight space odyssey monolith here.
With the first verse and chorus, I thought it had a pretty decent atmosphere, and I thought it was building up to be something pretty and different and unique on the album... and then the rest of the song happened. There's not much for me to say about the rest of it, it just bored me tbh. The "screaming pants" clip at the end was pretty fun. 43/100
