Opening Week Sales Estimates

Minutes to Midnight is#1 on the Australian charts people! They even managed to knock silverchair off the top spot, which is quite an acheivement in itself right now.

 

This is not good. 49 percent of the US sales have been tallied to about 212,000 copies so far. This only puts it in the 400's by default estimate. Keep your fingers crossed, they are tallying the sales at this very moment!

Its not bad at all considering the album leaked beforehand, and so many people just bought it off iTunes.

 

Here is a sense of relief while we are waiting.

Linkin Park's Minutes to Midnight debuted at Number 1 this week in Sweden, Japan, Korea, Croatia, Ireland, The United Kingdom, and Germany and will no doubt be number 1 here in the United States....

It debuted at Number 2 in Australia, where it has already been certified Gold there, woop! It also debuted at number 2 in the Netherlands, and Taiwan...

Minutes had impressive sales in Japan with 151,000 copies sold this week, 94,501 copies were sold in the UK, and 28,242 in Australia where it has already been certified Gold...

So it looks like Lp is becoming more like a Global band, then just here in America. I also blame that they haven't really toured much in the states yet, after projekt the sales should go up. But we are looking at as many as 1 million copies or more of MTM being sold worldwide this week.

Where did you get that dude? The last update I got was 63 % in at 229,000 copies. I'm not saying that your lying, just wondering where you got that from. Lp must have a shit load more fans on the west coast.

Not that this matters since this chart is free, but I work in radio, and I will get the official sales tomorrow.

Anyways, a website, as posted in the first post of this thread (www.hitsdailydouble.com) posts the chart each week of approx. sales. The chart was 100% in just before 4 PM EST. (40 mins ago)
