I was going to enter this one

    At last

    A slanted statue leans
Yet it seems that it screams at
    The pedestrians on the streets
With pales eyes, and up above there's a plaque
Thats disguised in the back side of a dream
The plaster chips off television screens
And everyone's watching, but behind their back
The devil creeps and then attacks
I guess that's what you get for not paying attention
Caught up in so much stress, that you stopped and listened
And the words wrote in the stone, are “Forget us not, remember your home”
Even though they forget everyday, about how this country had taken the Indians home away
They remember about a play, about Hansel and Gretel, and who took the stage, yesterday
Fade to clay, and say you've prayed and made a way to aid and seize the day
There's a chill in this auburn sky, apocalyptic balloons float then pop to die
Like soldiers in undeveloped countries , even when there's people here still cold and hungry
A hunter takes a arrow to catch some meat, then sells it to a family living down the street
And the vegetarians say he's immoral, ask what if he could feel, the pain that the animal had felt
Caught in confusion he's starving for a little help, his life is hell
And a slanted statue leans under an blood stamped sky
Rockets fall from Jupiter in bundled hives
Everything seems inconsistent, but if you look further
You'll find that it'll all make cents, and dimes, in time
In sense and crimes and hellos and abayo's and rolling boats, encased in stone
With waving hands, acid rain melts and stings like sand
DOA WO TOJIRU KUDASAI, and you leave without a single good bye
So sigh, and lie your way through weeks and days and make a fray
YAMI WO SAKU SORA NA ME, DESU NE? UMI (H)E..
And everything WA KIETE, KIMI GA MITA struggling men.
HAJIME GA SAIGO, and then they choke, HITO WA, scream to help them
and you just ask DARE while they kill em
    And everything seems so incomprehensible
Stuck in a box inside a flaming fox that rocks on a wavy shore
Make ya pay attention, and participate so you'll learn and listen
So once again, the statue stares with eyes neither here or there
And screams for you to share this world with rest
To not move forward, without honoring the past
Now the poem ends, and in a sense, it begins, at last.

    ---
but, i thought that no one would get it.

Dave: That's okay. I'm sure your entry will fare well. You're an excellent writer. I haven't read your entry yet, so I suppose we'll see how it does in a few weeks' time.

Gan: I'm sure whatever you entered was fine. The one you just posted looks interesting.
