The 40GB doesn't even have PS2 backwards. The 80GB has some PS2, but not all. Get a 20 or a 60 used if you can; I think the 80s work with the MGS games though. ALL PS3s are compatible with PSX/PS1 games, if I remember right.
so what do you suggest should i buy a used 20gb and keep my ps2 or buy an 80 gb i have about $250 at the moment
This may help: http://www.us.playstation.com/Support/CompatibleStatus ^ I know from reading on forums that people are experiencing problems other than those that are listed, specifically for Final Fantasy VIII. But it does give warning to known issues.
I've just got a PS3 (slow I know) but my god its good. I've had it now for a little while and I've just this second completed Rainbow Six Vagas 2. quality game if you ask me. But I was wondering.. is there any news about '3'? I need more!!!
yeah. Other then graphics. gameplay is better. story is better and all Vegas2 did for me was confuse the hell outta me. I was disappointed in Vegas 2
I got hold of R6V1 and I must say it comes across as a 'better' game straight away. HOWEVER I'm stuck! in Dante's Theater where you have to disarm/ defend the bomb. Its impossible!

"The fault lies with the executives who declared a war on hackers, laughed at the idea of people penetrating the fortress that once was Sony, whined incessantly about piracy, and kept hiring more lawyers when they really needed to hire good security experts. Alienating the hacker community is not a good idea." -geohot
