Is it really that surprising? Hardware and technology are evolving at such a crazy rate it's not even funny.

What was the point of the router function anyway?

 

Playing online and being on the internet on the PC at the same time, I'd guess. That way if you didn't already have a router, it'd sort of act like one.

Bad move. Same results as the PS2 hard drive will happen, not many people will buy it and a lot less games will use it.

but at the launch they didn't show ingame clips which they said were ingame clips

Not exactly like the PS2 because the hard drive wasnt released until way after the PS2 was.

The reason why sony is doing it this way is so that people who want the hard drive they can still buy it along with the PS3 when it is released, and also to make the PS3 more afforable for people who really dont care about the hardrive.
